The main living area, enclosed by floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors, opens up on either side to allow guests direct access to both the front lawn and the back garden – a central courtyard filled with native plants and trees. Guests can also access the courtyard, complete with trickling creek and a pleasant, tree-canopied sitting area, via the bedroom and TV room wing. Front and back alfrescos show off the home’s timber panelled exterior, which is complemented by an interior of polished wooden floors, rugged stone and crisp white walls. Woody Nook certainly emulates its name – a modern Australian holiday home that celebrates the great outdoors through a clever use of natural materials and a smart design.
