Our newly-remodeled casita has a unique style all its own. The original 1942 playhouse has been updated with two newly-constructed rooms with new plumbing and electricity. Situated behind the main house within a stone wall, you have a new driveway parking pad, private entrance, personal side yard, and private door code. Proximity to Eastern New Mexico State University and downtown gives easy access. We offer a personalized sound session which is complimentary to your stay of 2 nights or more. A cozy blend of old and new creates a classic warmth and relaxed state. Instruments for healing and relaxation are available for your use upon request in addition to the sound journeys we provide as an option. We have created a welcoming, secure, and inviting space to optimize your sense of well-being and creating a stress-free experience for you. Guests have a parking pad off the main driveway leading to a private entrance with your own side yard which has a side table and two chairs. The courtyard is shared with the main house and includes a barbeque grill, fire pit, table and chairs which guests may use, and a grass area. The main house has ramps and the casita is considered accessible but not ADA compliant yet. We love to interact with our guests, but if you prefer privacy we certainly honor that. You may text, call, or knock on the door for anything you may need. Private area away from street. Located 5 blocks from the university which offers food, walking areas, and activities open to the public. There is space around the casita as we own 1/4 acre. Over a dozen trees keep us shady. There is easy access to any area of Portales as we are situated in the main area. Parking is on a new concrete pad off our driveway. There is also other off-street parking available in front of the main house if needed. We offer personalized sound journey sessions included with your stay upon request. We have 2 gongs, Solfeggio pipes, flow pipes, various world drums, crystal and Tibetan sound Bowls, a monochord, Shruti box, rainsticks, native flutes, didgeridoos, guitars, ukeleles, mandolin, and more! You may request instruments to use during your stay in the casita. You may also enjoy the welcome basket of goodies. If you wish to have coffee and/or tea as well as breakfast pastries available for your stay, please let me know and we are more than happy to provide those items for you.
