Enjoy nature walks, silent starry nights, a garden BBQ, sun deck with outdoor shower, and a smart monitor/TV—off-grid in spirit, yet fully comfortable. A great base to explore the rural Aegean. The space (Touristic rental residence permit no: 35-485) The cabin features a mezzanine with a comfortable double bed, while the sitting area offers a bench that can accommodate a third guest. In winter, cozy up by the rocket stove, or use the electrical heater. In summer, enjoy the cooler weather of the heights, around five degrees cooler than sea level. A ceiling fan ensures your comfort during the day. Prepare meals in the well-equipped kitchen, complete with a cooker, oven, coffee machine, two fridges, a small dining table, and award-winning olive oil produced by your host. Cook with fresh, seasonal produce sourced from nearby villages and farmers' markets. Remote workers can use the small foldable worktable with a table lamp. Excellent mobile and WiFi reception from Turkcell and Turk Telekom keeps you connected with the rest of the world. The stone-paved patio has a dining table shielded by an oak tree and a bench under a pergola. A small fire pit can be enjoyed for warmth and grilling, except during the dry season when outdoor fires are prohibited due to wildfire risk. In the garden, there is a wooden deck and an outdoor shower. Face the sunrise during a morning yoga, then feel the water and the sun later in the day. Each season offers enchanting activities. From birdwatching, cherry blossom sightings, lavender and olive harvest to mushroom foraging and leisurely nature walks, there's always something delightful awaiting your discovery. With almost no light pollution in the area, skywatching from the patio is delightful. For hiking enthusiasts, the location is close to some of the Efeler Yolu Culture Route tracks. For history and adventure seekers, the location serves as an ideal base for trips to ancient Ephesus and Sardes, historical towns like Şirince, Selçuk, and Birgi, vibrant İzmir city, and the beaches and hiking trails of Dilek Peninsula. Contact us for what is on in the vicinity in different months of the year and let us recommend daily trip itineraries. Guest access Guests may use the whole house, its patio and garden. Other things to note The settlement has a small community of friendly dogs, all adopted, neutered, vaccinated, and sociable - mostly oldies goldies. They roam freely, offering companionship, security, affection, and -if they feel like it- guidance through walking trails. Our guests love their presence. The dogs are always open to new canine friends and sometimes bring their own guests. If you're traveling with your furry companion, we'll introduce them to our pack to ensure they get along smoothly during your stay. To explore the surrounding area, guests are advised to have their own transportation. However, for those arriving by train from İzmir city center or the airport, the host can provide access to and from the local station. Additionally, the local bus line from Bayındır to the mountain villages passes nearby. Consult us for the timetable. This house operates under the Ministry of Tourism’s touristic rental permit.
