Tulum Mexico is safe, but common sense should prevail. Be careful with who you interact. No drugs are allowed. Getting involved with drugs as a buyer seller or intermediate increases the risk to your safety. You are not allowed non paying guests not charged to the owner or host. You are not allowed to sublet any part of your stay or part of the condo. To protect your property and the host's property entries and exits are monitored by closed circuit camera. No parties or events. La Veleta and Tulum are rapidly growing and you will encounter unpaved roads. Construction is ongoing in La Veleta and there is a Villa going up next door. Most of the loud construction is complete as they are finishing the exterior and framing. You may, however, hear different levels of noise from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6pm and on some Saturdays until noon. The nights and mornings are peaceful with lovely bird songs.
