Enjoy a stylish experience at this private home in safe and friendly Alameda. Located on a secure cul-de-sac, you can stroll to the beach, parks, and excellent restaurants. • King Bed with new mattress and pillows • Fully equipped Kitchen • Coffee and Tea Station, Filtered Water • Dedicated driveway parking • Large Smart TV • Backyard • New Washer and Dryer • and more! This 1-BR home with central heating offers a living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, modern bathroom, and backyard. I tried to think of everything I would want in a homestay including black-out curtains, pillow choices, bedside charging, magnifying mirror, cable TV, top-speed internet, dedicated parking, filtered water, a full-size closet and dresser, new appliances, and everything you need to cook. The house is newly painted with fully screened windows for refreshing cross breezes and offers privacy within walking distance to stores, parks, restaurants, theater, and entertainment. The entire house is yours to access. I am always available by text or phone. My husband, a Swiss native, speaks German, and I can understand and speak passable Spanish. I've lived all over the Bay Area - and Alameda is by far my favorite area. This island combines all the convenience and tranquillity of the suburbs (easy parking at every store you can think of) with urban amenities including excellent ethnic restaurants and the ability to walk everywhere. It's also easy to get to San Francisco on public transportation - BART, bus, car, or a lovely ferry ride. Things to do in Alameda: 1. USS Hornet Sea, Air, and Space Museum. Tour the Smithsonian-affiliated 1943 aircraft carrier to see more than a dozen retired aircraft on the flight deck, discover the Hornet’s role in the Space Race, and take off into battle in the flight simulator. 2. Spirits Alley is a cluster of artisan distilleries and tasting rooms along Monarch Street at Alameda Point all housed in industrial warehouses on the island’s former Naval Air Station site. Hit the tasting rooms at Faction Brewing and Building 43 Winery, or try a pint at one of the newest additions: The Rake at Admiral Maltings or Almanac Barrel House, Brewery, and Taproom. 3. The Pacific Pinball Museum/slash arcade houses 90-plus games, from a historical 1898 display to 25 machines from the ‘70s, all set to free play so you can get your game on with an all-day pass. 4. The historic Alameda Theatre & Cineplex 5. Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach, a 2.5-mile-long stretch of sand with S.F. skyline views. This spot is well-loved for the boardsport-friendly winds, designated Shoreline Drive bike path, and marine exhibits at the Crab Cove Visitor Center. 6. Both a practical way to get around and a scenic outing, an excursion on the San Francisco Bay Ferry can take you to and from Alameda with terminals on the island and in San Francisco, Oakland, and Richmond. A few of our favorite restaurants on nearby Park Street: 1. Cholita Linda for fish tacos. 2. Scolari's which was featured on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Scolari’s will deliver to the next-door bar Lucky 13, which has a patio. 4. Burma Superstar, a legendary eatery that got its start in San Francisco. 5. Tahina, located in the Alameda Marketplace offers fantastic Mediterranean food. Sidewalk seating. 6. Ark Chinese on Park is our go-to Chinese restaurant. 7. If you’re looking for a date-night spot, Trabocco Kitchen and Cocktails is at South Shore Shopping Center, also walking distance. You can expect authentic Italian fare, fresh seafood, and a sophisticated atmosphere with modern decor and warm wood finishes. Dedicated parking in the driveway. Nearby bus stops. This home is for a maximum of two people and an infant if you bring your porta crib. You will receive a smart code to access the home. There is a Ring doorbell so there is that one outdoor camera at the front door. No smoking and no pets.
