Private cabin on an island with a small motorboat

Take it easy at this unique cabin located on an island in Storsjön, Sandviken with your own dock and swimming access. Boat transport to and from the harbor is included on arrival and departure day, and a small motorboat as well as canoe is available for you to use during your visit! Enjoy this peaceful summer home with your family and friends! Fenced in yard perfect for families with children or pets! The space This incredible, traditional Swedish Summer cabin will give you a glimpse of a classic Swedish pastime - taking it easy at a lovely cabin right on the water! The cabin has a beautiful main room with panoramic views of a large lake which is located just a few meters from the cabin. There is a small kitchen with everything you need to cook for everyone in your party. The main cabin has a small living room and bedroom with a brand new, queen sized bed. The living room also has a pull out couch that can sleep two. There is a separate, small guest cabin with a bunk bed which is large enough for three people. Outside you will find a large deck with a picnic table with seating for six and a Webber charcoal grill. There is also a large covered sun room with sliding windows attached to the main cabin which gives you the ability to be outside, even if the weather is rainy etc. The cabin has plumbing and running water which is pulled directly from the lake and can be used for washing dishes, showering etc. Potable drinking water is also provided in 20 liter water bottles. A classic incinerator toilet, in a heated restroom gives you all the comforts of home. Please note that the bathroom and shower room are located in separate buildings, not attached to the main cabin. There is a large fenced in area surrounding the cabin which is perfect for families traveling with young children as it creates a layer of safety between your family and the water. The fence is also great for families with pets as it means you can keep your pets dry while you enjoy a day relaxing in the sun by the water. Guest access The entire cabin and all outbuildings are available to our guests with the exception of a small workshop which is locked behind a closed door. Other things to note The cabin is a classic Swedish "summer cabin". It has running hot and cold water and electricity but the water is coming directly from the lake so it is not drinkable. We will provide drinking water in separate containers. Your host will meet you at the harbor and take you in a motorboat to the cabin. Once you are dropped off on the island, you have access to a small motorboat as well as a canoe so that you can get back to your car to access grocery stores, restaurants etc. The journey from the harbor to the cabin takes approximately 10 minutes. Please note that we have a limited supply of bed linen and towels so we may ask larger groups to bring their own. If you want to bring your own boat to explore more of the lake, we can give you access to the harbor so you can put the boat in the water. The lake offers great fishing for pike perch and pike, but please note that a fishing license is required.
