With world-class beaches, cafes, pubs, restaurants, shops and Ballina Golf Course all within walking distance, you’ll feel like a local from the moment you arrive. The space As soon as you step through the front door at Whale Watcher’s, you’ll know you’ve found your happy place. From your vantage point at one of the highest addresses in Ballina, you’ll have a front-row seat to migrating humpback whales, the coming and going of local fishing boats, and one of the best sunrises on the east coast of Australia. 2 larger bedrooms are equipped with high-quality furnishings, complete with plenty of built-in wardrobe space so you can unpack and settle in. The 3rd bedroom has a single day bed, but can also be used as an office. The kitchen is a home cook’s dream. You’ll enjoy Smeg appliances (including a built-in coffee machine!), marble bench tops and a state-of-the-art gas cooktop facing, you guessed it, your Pacific Ocean view. Bathroom is well-appointed with soap, shampoo and conditioner. Plush bath towels are provided, and the linen closet has some games, yoga mats and is stocked with plenty of beach towels for your morning swim at Shaws Bay, The Serpentine or Lighthouse Beach – all a short walk from home. The house is on the side of a hill looking out over the ocean, so it is steep with a steep driveway. Byron Bay is a 25-minute drive, while Lennox Head is just 10 minutes away. Guest access Whale Watcher’s Retreat is your home while you’re away – so please treat it as you would your own. We can meet you on arrival to walk you through the place, or if you’d prefer to check in and do your own thing there’s secure door code access too. A lock-up garage and one off-street parking space is available. The house is split across two self-contained levels, however, the top floor is completely yours and your downstairs neighbour is quiet and very friendly. Other things to note There is no on street parking, guest have two parking spaces. Garage and driveway. Any other cars will need to park on another street.
