The Little Brown Camp

My place is close to Acadia National Park, Ellsworth, Maine, Down East Maine, Bangor Maine. You’ll love my place because this cozy camp is just a few steps from the water on Hopkins Pond. Enjoy the sound of loons on a quiet lake, swimming, kayaking or just relaxing on the deck. The camp next door may be available for rental for larger family retreats. The space This two bedroom "camp" has a fully equipped kitchen, 3/4 bath and an open kitchen/living space with a view of the pond from two sides. TV is available for local stations. A DVD player and an assortment of family friendly movies are also available. Sheets and towels are provided. Guest access Guests will have full access to the camp, the kayaks and the canoe as well as access to the boat shed where paddles and life jackets are stored. Other things to note The camp does not have potable drinking water, running water is pumped from the pond. Guests are advised to bring their own drinking water. Since the location is remote, guests should grocery shop prior to heading out for their relaxing retreat. Due to the remote nature of the area, cell phone service is spotty. Guests with Verizon should have a decent signal but T-Mobile and AT&T customers should expect to be out of cell phone range. Arriving before dark and having printed copies of directions will make finding the camp easier.
