We see the wall of mountains that dominates our view green in Summer then turn to reds and golden hues in the Fall and... In Winter, nature’s icy breath transforms its 3-mile lake into a surreal masterpiece before our eyes, and our acres of sugar white deep powder stay pristine for weeks after city snows have turned slushy and gray. But what lingers in memory is the downshift from one’s busy life: the feeling of being high above Rockland Lake, feeding deer, watching clouds form at eye level, and seeing simple weather & changing light turn the mountain-and-lake view into living theater. Guest access In addition to your room on the 2nd floor you can use our 2nd floor laundry room with dog bath & secret cat commode and the entire first floor of our million dollar property. That includes our state-of-the-art kitchen, dining room, dinette, living room, family room, 40-foot front porch and our show-stopping 40'foot lakeview deck with grill, fire table and generous outdoor seating. During your stay I ALWAYS meet my guests just after arrival then retire to my own entirely separate residence. After that, I only visit the guest area, for example, if one wants to hear about the history of the area or learn how to use our devices, such as our gas fireplace, touch screen refrigerator, induction cooktop or outdoor fire table.
