Located at Cottonwood Creek Cabins, just 10 mins south of Alpine, TX, enjoy fresh mountain air & clear dark skies at night. Great for couples, friends & small families. Whether you are looking to relax from the fast pace of the city or if you want a central hub for all that Big Bend has to offer, this is ideal place to be. You are not just getting a comfy home but access to 2+ miles of private nature paths. The space *Managed by Chris & Katie - AirBnB superhosts - see our many positive reviews.* Handcrafted cabin is a 1 bedroom fully furnished getaway that sleeps 4 ppl - ***the bathroom is NOT ensuite - it is located 50ft from this cabin and shared with other guests if present - see below and photos***. The bedroom has a queen bed and twin bunk. Living room has a futon, chairs, Smart TV w/Roku (need own streaming accounts), WiFi, board games, area info, mini fridge and microwave. Fully screened in porch. Window AC during summer season (April-September) and portable heaters during cold months (October-March). Ceiling fan in bedroom. Maximum 1 friendly dog allowed. NOTE PET POLICY IN HOUSE RULES. *SHARED Luxury Bathhouse* oversized shower has two separate heads. One rain head from the ceiling and one rain head on the wall. The on demand water heater ensures endless hot water. Shared with guests of the Dark Sky Tipi. The bathhouse is located directly across from the Explorer’s Hideout (about 50 feet). We refresh the bathhouse with every check out when shared. As well as leave disinfectant spray and cleaning supplies there. *Outdoor kitchen* with sink, toaster, electric hot plate, electric griddle, bar area with seating. Shared with guests of the Dark Sky Tipi. Cabin has a microwave, Keurig and mini fridge. Nothing with a flame is allowed. This includes no propane. You bring dishes and silverware. We provide a few pans and cooking utensils. During colder months, water to outdoor kitchen may be off during your stay. We leave water there to wash dishes. **Book with our other rental - 'Dark Sky Tipi' - for extra space or a truly unique and private getaway. Dark Sky Tipi sleeps 4ppl and is located just 100ft away from this cabin so it's perfect for additional friends, family or big kids.** You will have access to almost 30 acres. Nearly 2 miles of nature trails. Enjoy bird and wildlife watching, geode/stone hunting, and meditation. Shared activity area with 4 hammocks, corn hole and tether ball setup. Nature trails and activity area are shared with other guests. NO LIGHT OR NOISE POLLUTION FROM TOWN. Hosts live on property and are quickly available for any needs. Each space was created with privacy in mind - perfect space for secluded feel for R&R but close to city amenities when needed while in Big Bend. Other things to note House Rules & Property Info No Open Flames or Fires: No open fires, including propane grills due to frequent county wide fire bans and high risk of wildfire. No smoking on trails. *Smoking permitted only on private outdoor areas - use butt buckets for ashes and disposal of cigarette* Pets: A maximum of 1 friendly dog is welcome subject to a $45 non refundable pet fee. Dogs must be on leash at all times, and placed in crate if ever left unattended. Also you will be on 30 acres with other guests on the property who might have pets, and there is a risk for wildlife activity so owners assume all risk for property damage, altercations with wildlife, other pets or humans. Guests who do not comply will be requested to leave immediately.
