RVers with any size RV enjoy a vacation rental experience rather than a crowded park at this private, quiet site with full hookups, a fire pit, picnic table and outdoor hot tub on a 10-plus acre waterfront estate on Lake Pend Oreille just minutes from the resort town of Sandpoint, Idaho. RVers enjoy stunning lake views and easy access to a public boat dock and a private beach. Bring your RV of any type or size, as this site will accommodate up to a motor coach with tip-outs with 50 amp service, well water and septic. The RV site's location is a private spot overlooking Lake Pend Oreille and just a three-minute walk away from the water. Hookups are on-site with a frost-free hydrant serving up tasty well water! A beautiful outdoor hot tub under the stars seats five with a lounge. A unique outdoor shower with an on-demand propane water heater and portable toilet are available for those setups that aren't self-contained. The site has its own fire pit, and camp wood is provided. We have accommodations for horses too. The property includes a house and two bell tents that allow for the possibility of group retreats. The privately owned beach has a dock, beach shelter, horseshoe pits, concrete ramp for paddlecraft, and sitting areas on shoreline that is shared with other guests who are staying on the property; available for use from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Guests also have access to a double kayak and a variety of floaties at the beach. Hawkins Point is the farthest point on the Sunnyside Peninsula, named for the fact that it faces south; it's a gateway to the northern end of the lake and the Pack River Delta. The property has been in the same family since 1944 at a prominent geographic feature on Lake Pend Oreille, Hawkins Point. A public boat dock is right across the road, and the private shoreline is just west of the Hawkins Point public boat dock. The hot tub is a minute's walk away and is also available to any guests staying on the property; alternate usage and respect other's privacy; observe quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. The privately owned beach is available for any of our guests to use from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; the camp kitchen and bathroom on the beach are for the exclusive use of Boho bell tent guests. The outdoor shower and portable toilet found near the site are available for two groups of RVers to use, those staying on this site and those staying on the site on the east side of the barn. We like to be there to greet guests and help direct them into the site and to the property. We're available anytime by phone/messaging and are frequently on-site. We love to visit with our guests and help you make the most out of your visit. Sunnyside is a desirable neighborhood close to Sandpoint, Idaho, where folks enjoy living out in the country on or near the lake. It's also a popular recreation area with public access at the Oden Wildlife Management Area, Sunnyside Access, Hawkins Point and shoreline managed by Idaho Fish and Game. The area includes longtime residents and more recent transplants to the area, as well as seasonal residents. Sunnyside is teeming with wildlife, from waterfowl to big game, while Lake Pend Oreille is home to many species of fish, including rainbow trout, kokanee, bass, pike, whitefish, perch, bull trout and more. The lake has a thriving fishery and with 111 miles of shoreline, much of it public, there's a lot to explore by boat, canoe or kayak, or by hiking, bicycling and horseback riding. Sunnyside is between Sandpoint and Hope, Idaho, and either town may be accessed by boat or car for dining, shopping, concerts and other events. The site is large and has plenty of room to park any size RV, extra vehicles and boat trailers, etc. Sandpoint and the surrounding towns of Dover, Kootenai and Ponderay, as well as the Schweitzer shuttle parking lot in ski season, have a free SPOT bus. Amtrak makes its only stop in Idaho at the Sandpoint depot daily. Rental cars are available in Sandpoint or at the Spokane international Airport. Sandpoint Airport has a 6,000-foot paved runway. For our guests arriving by private plane in Sandpoint, we can possibly make arrangements for a loaner car. The Sunnyside property is about 15 minutes from the town of Ponderay, where you'll find Walmart, Bonner Mall and many other shops. It's another two miles to downtown Sandpoint, or about a 20-minute drive via Highway 200.
