Whitley Burrow is a secluded luxury pod hidden away in its own enclosed orchard within a 200acre private farm. The adjoining footpath takes you to the village pub with great food, dog friendly and open fires. Situated 10 minutes from Shrewsbury with views across the Shropshire countryside. Inside, this is no ordinary pod! From luxury bedding, fully appointed kitchenette and shower room to underfloor heating and freshly ground coffee. Enjoy the rich hotel feel with only nature for company. The space The Pod itself The pod stands in its own private orchard with no other pods in sight! It neighbors our home but is tucked away behind a walled garden and perfectly private with its own separate driveway. The wood fired hot tub sits alongside the pod on an elevated deck to enhance the views. All logs, kindling and firelighters are provided along with full instructions for use. Beautifully soft bath sheets and robes, crisp cotton bedding and freshly ground coffee, we aim to provide a luxury feel, complete privacy and tranquility. Pets Dogs are more than welcome at Whitley and there is so much to explore with them in the local area, fantastic walks along the river or across Lyth Hill, or 15 minutes in the car will take you in to the Shropshire hills. I’m afraid we cannot accept cats, however horses are welcome in our private stables by separate arrangement. Locality Although the property is rural, you’ll be pleased to learn that Shrewsbury is only 10 minutes away by car or an easy bus journey. Set on the banks of the River Severn, Shrewsbury is one of the country’s most picturesque medieval towns. Dotted with flowers and parks, and renowned for the historic Shrewsbury Abbey and Castle, this bustling town is home to a lively independent shopping scene, restaurants, bars and some unforgettable days out. Ludlow is a thriving medieval market town in Shropshire and an architectural gem with a lively community feel, busy with events and festivals throughout the year and just under an hour away. From taking a stroll around the beautiful gardens to exploring the nearby countryside, even just sitting back relaxing and taking in the tranquillity, Whitley promises an idyllic holiday retreat. Can be booked together with the neighboring 2 bedroom cottage Little Whitley to accommodate up to 6 guests in total. Guest access The pod lies within its own private fenced orchard which is solely for use by guests. The adjoining footpath and private access are also for guest use. Other things to note There is a boundary fence around the property which is dog-proof for standard sized breeds. The owner’s friendly dogs live on the farm next door and the neighboring glamping pod also welcomes dogs. Therefore due to its location Little Whitley is only suitable for dogs that are safe to socialise with other dogs and do not pose any threat to livestock or children.
