Enjoy your stay in a historic Howard Lawson designed Art Deco building, situated along the Yarra River in one of the most sought after spots in Melbourne. The ground floor apartment is just a short stroll from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne's famous MCG, AAMI Park, the National Tennis Centre and the CBD. Live your best South Yarra life, with great bars, cafes and restaurants just up the hill on nearby Toorak Rd - or cross the bridge into Richmond for more pubs, clubs and nightlife. The space The fully furnished apartment offers you an elegant and care-free stay with an Art Deco flare. The spacious bedroom is equipped with a queen bed and dresser with both garden and Yarra River views. The living room offers a quiet space for guests to plan their night out or stay in and relax by the electric fire. With a fully equipped kitchen, guests can cook and make coffee with the Nespresso machine (though a true Melbourne local would go to one of the many beautiful local Cafes instead!). There is also a washer-dryer in the apartment available for use. Guest access You will have private access to the whole apartment, which is situated on the bottom level of the 'Stratton Heights' apartment block adjacent to the garden area. There are some stairs but no elevator access. There are no other communal spaces. Other things to note While the apartment would be most comfortable with just one or two guests, please get in contact to discuss should there be an infant consideration. There is a single car pass available for on street parking in the area. It can be hard to get a park, so we can’t guarantee you’ll be able to park right next to the apartment all the time. There is no on-site parking. The apartment is positioned well above road level and predominantly faces a garden area although the bedroom has direct line of sight to Alexandra Ave which can be busy during peak times. The bedroom windows are double glazed and there are shutters and curtains on all windows. Overall, noise levels are low. We have had only one problem so far with a light sleeper. No other guests have identified noise as an issue.
