As the sun dips below the Lost Coast mountains (painting the sky and redwoods in hues you've only dreamed of,) you'll realize – this is what they meant by “getting away from it all.” Watch as turkeys strut their stuff, quail play hide-and-seek, and deer gracefully navigate the meadow. And the stars! It's like visiting a planetarium, enhanced by a chorus of crickets and frogs. The space Our intimate cabin with a king bed is ideal for couples seeking a cozy retreat. It's all yours - no shared spaces here. Unwind after a long hike in the Jacuzzi while watching the stars glitter around you. A futon serves as a second bed for friends and family (though it might be snug for those over 6'). We've recently added Starlink internet, so you can stay connected when you choose to. And if there's anything you need, just ask! Guest access Explore our entire 60-acre property at your leisure. Roam free, explore wide, just remember to give our house and backyard a respectful berth. The forest can be steep in places, so watch your step as you wander. Use the hiking stick provided, and bring your hiking boots! Your cabin sits on the westernmost part, with the neighbor's driveway and Red Rock Rd marking the boundaries. An interactive Google Map will be provided to help you in your nature-bathing. We have bears and raccoons in the area - they're more interested in picnic baskets than people, but it's always good to know when they're in the neighborhood, so we'll let you know if we spot any nearby. Other things to note We're 1.3 miles from the main road, up a dirt road. It can be a bit rough at times, but all vehicles can make it year-round. So take it slow, wave to passing drivers (as is tradition in the country,) and enjoy the journey to your woodland getaway.
