This modern and bright 3-bed chalet is conveniently located just outside Traverse City, cozy and serene nestled in the woods of beautiful Leelanau Peninsula. Perfect for families, couples, or friends, this charming retreat offers all the comforts of a modern home. The chalet provides an optimal place to rest, refuel, and rejuvenate in between exploring this picturesque corner of Michigan...and there is SO much to see, sip, and enjoy! The space Enjoy this beautiful two-story modern Northern Michigan chalet featuring two (2) queen bedrooms, one (1) twin bunk room, one and a half (1.5) baths, an open floor plan, and a big yard with a fire pit to enjoy - a very family-friendly welcoming haven for up to six (6) guests! The location is optimal, central, and within minutes of Traverse City and all it has to offer, yet nestled back in quiet woods on a no-through traffic road and with distant neighbors. For those who love to walk, run, and bike, the chalet is located right on the popular paved TART trail that takes you all around Leelanau. And a great spot to give dogs some exercise too. This cozy retreat is filled with local art and the decor is inspired by local outdoor attractions like Sleeping Bear Dunes and Lake Michigan. Enjoy the expansive starry night sky from the front deck, a warm fire in the backyard fire pit with a cup of hot cocoa surrounded by twinkle lights, and look for wildlife like deer that might greet you each morning. Natural light fills all rooms of the house and the open floor plan is great for groups or families looking to spend time together. Kid-friendly amenities include twin bunk beds, pack-n-play, high chair, eating utensils, toys, teddy bears, and books for all the cute little guests. The chalet is suitable for children of all ages. A highlight to this area is exploring all the charming Leelanau Peninsula towns like Leland, Suttons Bay, Glen Lake, Empire, and Sleeping Bear Dunes (all about ~20-30 minutes from the chalet). There is so much to do in all four seasons of the year. Trails, wineries, breweries, farm stands, sledding hills, ski resorts and restaurants (Farm Club and Jacob's Farm are a few favorites!) are within a few minutes drive. All guests are provided with detailed local recommendations for every season. Please use all the modern and thoughtful amenities including a Yale smart lock with a custom code just for you, plush linens, Brooklyn Bedding mattresses, Public Goods soap, lush beach towels, high-speed internet, cabinet full of books, puzzles, and board games, BBQ grill, Samsung Frame TV, and washer and dryer. Enjoy making meals at the chalet with a well-equipped kitchen, includes all the materials and locally roasted beans to make an excellent cup of coffee. In the warm summer months, central air conditioning at the chalet maximizes comfort for our guests. Dog-friendly policies, a big yard, and distant neighbors make it an inclusive retreat to bring your furry friend. The chalet can host (1) well behaved dog per stay. Must include dog in your reservation and pay any indicated pet fee. Enjoy the convenience of a two-stall garage and ample driveway parking. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property including the house, garage, large yard and driveway. Other things to note No events and parties allowed, including no glitter or confetti. No smoking of any kind as we strive to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for everyone. For this reason, smoking is not permitted inside the house. Additional cleaning fees will apply if the home is smoked in. If you must smoke, please do so outside and away from the house, including disposing of your butts in the trash bin in the garage. We have one outdoor security camera, located on the side of the garage, and the visibility is of the front door and front lawn. STR License Number: 2026-69
