Description

The Yurt on the Edge is built on the steep slope of a massive hill among a former avocado grove, with views of the Pacific Ocean. Located in the last remaining undeveloped coastal Southern California mountains. Enjoy this one of a kind romantic setting with a secluded view of nature. Wake up to some complimentary coffee, while watching the sunrise over the mountains and ocean. The space The yurt has a Cal King bed that is made and ready to sleep in. There is also a large sofa that can sleep one person. Lastly, there is a cot for an additional fourth person. The kitchen is stocked with a pot and pan, as well as plates, silverware, coffee mugs, wine cups, cooking utensils, avocado cooking oil, salt and pepper. The mini-fridge includes a freezer compartment. There is coffee and tea bar located next to the water station. As well as half and half creamers. Brew some fresh coffee with the kettle and French press. Towels are provided for the hot shower. There is a BBQ grill outside near the picnic table. Star gaze in the oversized bean bag outdoors or hammock swing on the porch. A few fun and interactive games and puzzles are provided along with a few books for guests to enjoy. The Farm is an 60-acre property in northern San Diego county, nestled between the greater metropolitan areas of Los Angeles-Orange County and San Diego. From the property there are expansive views of the entire coastline of San Diego, as well as views of the snow capped peak of Southern California’s highest mountain, San Gorgonio, at 11,503 ft. Located just 12 miles from the Pacific Ocean, the property’s climate is moderated by a gentle breeze from the ocean. The farm is situated on a miniature mountain that rises up 1,500ft above the nearby valley, not only creating a spectacular vantage point, but also a unique microclimate resulting from ocean moisture condensing as it’s forced to rise. The moisture nourishes a 20 acre avocado grove, in addition to 60 acres of native chaparral, which features a healthy population of the beautiful Manzanita tree, an endangered species protected by law. The nearby Santa Margarita River Preserve minutes away provides hikers with access to the only remaining undammed or cannaled river in southern California. The larger area is shielded from development and highways by the Cleveland National Forest. There is no traffic noise, and the air is the cleanest in Southern California. Guest access You will have total access to the yurt, porch, and outside area.
