Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. West Coker is close to some beautiful walks in the village or close by at Ham hill Nation Park, or Ninesprings in Yeovil. We have 2 traditional pubs and Lanes hotel on the doorstep all do food and sometimes live music. Little thatch is over 200 years old and has many of the original features including inglenook fire place, and exposed beams. Although the house has these features the kitchen and bathroom have all the modern amenities The space All rooms have been decorated in keeping with the nature of the house and are comfortable and cosy. The front room has TV and WIFI, a large sofa and smokeless fuel burner. Some brickets will be left for you but we will also leave a heater in case you dont want to light the fire. The window onto the road has secondary glazing to minimize noise. The cottage is typical style with low beams and headspace. Some bending through doors will be needed if you are tall. The main bedroom has a double bed, TV and access to WIFI, it has large built in wardrobe and an iron and ironing board. This room also has secondary glazing. The second bedroom has a double bed, and small chest of draws with small window looking out into back garden. Upstairs bathroom has toilet and hand sink and heated towel rail. The ceiling in here is low. Access to both floors by the stairs, these are steep but handrail provided. Kitchen has ceramic top cooker, built in oven and microwave, built in fridge and dishwasher, TV bespoke breakfast bar type dining area, with bi-fold doors out to the garden. Utility room has washing machine and freezer. Downstairs bathroom has hand washing sink and large bath, with shower in the bath. Towels and bedding all included. Garden, we have a cottage garden that is walled or fenced all the way round you will have access to a bar b q and some seating on benches, we have two ponds a nature pond and a fish pond. We have lots of birds visiting the garden and some that nest in the nest box every spring. We have a butcher, post office and shop in the village, also a doctors and defibrillator by the bus stop for use in an emergency. The cottage would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Guest access You can access all the house. The sheds in the garden have some of our personal possessions in like lawnmower etc, we will cut the grass and keep garden tidy. The cupboard in the front room has some of our cleaning and maintenance items in and you will find the hoover in here. Other things to note On arrival you will receive a welcome pack, this contains milk, bread, prosecco, a few dishwasher tablets.
