Welcome to Pine Falls Lodge, nestled on a beautiful site between two lakes on the historic Chiniguchi River waterway. There is a shared sauna and a growing network of hiking/snowshoeing trails. Stay extra warm with radiator heating in addition to the woodstove and hot running water in the kitchen and bathroom all winter long. The space **Please note that the oven does not work in this cabin, the stovetop does and there's a barbeque.** Pine Falls Lodge is off-grid, there is no cell service, however there is high speed starlink wifi. We generate electricity by solar and water turbine and running water comes from the lake. We grow our own fruits, vegetables, herbs, and we have our own chickens for eggs. We welcome you to be a part of this experience and we'd love to help you harvest from our gardens and chickens to supplement your meals during your stay, just ask! The 2 bd cabin was built some years after the construction of the other original 1940s log cabins on the property. It includes a kitchen with a fridge and propane stove/oven, three piece bathroom with a toilet, sink and shower, two bedrooms each with a double bed, as well as a living room with a wood stove. Outside there is a bbq and picnic table. The screened in porch can be used to store your coolers and outdoor gear. There are large flat, grassy areas in front and on either side of the cabin suitable for yard games (bring your own), setting up a shade tent, etc. The cabin faces Washagami Lake and boasts spectacular sunset views. The property has 7 other cabins that were built in the 1940s. 4 of these cabins have been renovated and are available to be rented to guests. The following amenities are shared with other guests: -A large pebble beach with a shaded pavilion and a dock -Kayaks and paddleboards -Floating swim mat -Fire pit -A wood burning sauna with large windows that face Murray Lake. There is also another dock here. -A system of hiking trails in the surrounding crown land Guest access The property is 3.5 acres and you're welcome to explore. It is large enough that you have privacy but you will see us around if you need or want any company. You can access the beach, docks, sauna area, as well as hiking trails in the surrounding crown land. Other things to note We are in the process of finishing the large lodge building on site as well as working on the property and other cabins. Don't mind the mess! We are a family-friendly location. Please let us know how many children you are bringing and we will reduce the $30 additional person cost to $10/night for every child under 12. Bedding is provided: sheets, dish clothes, tea towels, blankets and pillows. Please bring your own towels. The location is remote and you won't have any cellular reception. There is wifi available, many carriers support wifi calling. In case of emergency, we have a cell booster from which you can get cell service. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper - the sound of the waterfalls can be loud depending on where you are on the property. Tap water is NOT potable - bring your own jugs of water (please avoid bringing plastic water bottles - ask us where the water spring is located on the road up, and fill your jugs there!) Well-behaved, fixed dogs are permitted on site but you must let us know ahead of time. Your dog must be leashed or tied up as appropriate and isn't to be left in the cabin. Dogs are not permitted on the furniture. Please let us know if you want to bring your boat so we can arrange for launching and parking for $50 extra fee.
