It’s comfortable, but still feels like a classic New England “camp”: warm and relaxed. THE SPACE: Windowed porch with a casual eating area Full kitchen with updated appliances Dining table for 6 Art supplies and family games available SLEEPING: Queen bedroom with attached full bathroom Loft with 2 twin beds overlooking the living room Cots available. Please note: The loft is accessed by a steep ladder and may not be suitable for young children or anyone uncomfortable with climbing. BATHROOMS: 2 full, renovated bathrooms Outdoors is really where the property shines. Canoe on the pond Fish from shore or bring a small non-motorized boat (no motor boats) Fire pit for evenings. Walk the property or just sit and take in the surroundings Great stargazing due to low light pollution You’ll likely see and hear wildlife - this is part of the experience. Important to Know Before Booking No air conditioning (relies on New England's natural breezes and we have some fans) No trash or laundry service - guests must carry out trash and recycling This is a rustic setting with bugs, weather, and natural surroundings Not a hotel - best for guests comfortable with a simpler, outdoorsy style stay Location Set in Connecticut’s Last Green Valley, known for protected land and dark skies. ~1 hour to Foxwoods, Newport, and Rhode Island beaches ~15 minutes to Falls Creek Farm (horse shows and weddings) Good Fit Perfect for guests looking to unplug - writers, creatives, couples, or small groups who enjoy nature and a slower pace. Other things to note + Our loft stairs are steep so we ask for you to be careful when going up or down. And at your own risk. + Canoe and paddles are available for use. Please bring a lifejacket and practice water safety. + Good fishing from shore. Bring your own poles and bait! + Many books on plant life and wildlife available to read on your stay. + Sketch pads and art supplies, games available. + We do not have trash service to our cabin so please take your trash with you when you leave. We do not provide a washer or dryer for short stays. Our New England cabin does not have A/C but we have fans, and usually a nice breeze from the pond.
