One of our favourites is a walk to the Cheshire Cat Pub…. If that’s too far, stop off in Chester town center, direct from the canal. From the house, turn right, and you can walk or cycle along the River Dee & into Wales. Again, turning right or left, you can connect to Chester City walls and complete the loop. ❤ Recommendations You'll be so close to so many great attractions and things to do, such as: ✦ Chester Cathedral: This magnificent building is known for its beautiful Early Decorated Choir and the country's oldest volunteer choir. The cathedral often hosts organ recitals and performances like Handel's Messiah during the Christmas season​​. ✦ Chester Roman Amphitheatre: As Britain's largest Roman amphitheatre, this site offers a fascinating glimpse into ancient entertainment and military training. Ongoing excavations continue to reveal more about its history​​. ✦ Chester Zoo and Blue Planet Aquarium: Chester Zoo, one of the UK's largest and most popular zoos, is home to over 11,000 animals.
