Description
Our cabin is a high-spec static caravan on a holiday park in Longridge, with fabulous views over the Ribble Valley, a large family pool * and bar. There are stunning walks and cycling in every direction, wild river swimming, easy access to golf and tennis, boutique shopping in Longridge and Clitheroe and some great country pubs and craft beer bars within a 5 minute drive. The park itself is being refurbished in some areas currently. *small additional charge payable at reception. The space The cabin is in great condition, being our family's regular bolt hole. The living/dining area has a large open plan sitting space which looks out over the reservoir and towards Pendle Hill. The cabin sleeps 3 adults + 2 under-12s - the 2nd bedroom has small single beds. The master bedroom has a king size-bed with a new mattress and topper, en suite loo and plenty of storage. Twin room has 2 small singles perfect for under 12s. Living room has a pull-out sofa bed with a new foam mattress. It's a small double so better for one adult or teenager. There's a separate shower-room/loo in the hallway. Kitchen space is open plan and well equipped - 4 slot Dualit toaster, slow-cooker, brand new cooking knives, all white IKEA crockery and heavy-duty stainless steel pans. The generous deck has lovely views of Spade Mill reservoir and Pendle Hill. Its a perfect spot for a quiet cuppa in the mornings or a sundowner in the evenings. Beacon Fell View is a friendly holiday park with swimming pool, mini golf, and launderette. There's a large bar area with amusements and entertainment during holidays and some weekends. The park is currently undergoing significant refurbishment so there is some disruption to the amenities and some of the areas do look a bit “under construction”. If you're looking for the full holiday park experience this is probably not for you, but it’s a great quiet base for exploring all that the Ribble Valley has to offer! Guest access You'll have full use of the caravan, and use of the Park's facilities - opening hours for these are found at reception. The park is a friendly mix of residents and holiday goers. Other things to note Longridge Town Centre is a 15 minute walk away. Plenty of walks directly from the park itself. Buses to Preston and Blackburn run from outside the park or the town centre.
