We have a campsite near Lake George in Skowhegan and we added a few sites to share with friends and family. A great place to unplug and enjoy the outdoors. This is a small a frame but with some of the comforts of home. There is power to charge your phone, ac to keep you cool, a refrigerator to keep your drinks cold, lights and a coffee maker. There’s a bathhouse to shower and clean up. We are working on getting the septic system installed and have a portable toilet to use until it’s complete. The A frame is cozy. It sleeps 3 comfortably. There’s a queen bed and a twin bed up in the loft. It has an outdoor seating areas with a fire pit for cooking or roasting marshmallows to make your yummy s’mores. The fire pit comes with one complementary bundles of wood per stay. There’s a trail that connects you with hiking, and takes you down to the lake. You can also drive down. The quickest way to contact us is through the Airbnb app. All the guests will be provided with a phone number for Stray Dog Properties. They can leave a message and someone will get back to them shortly. Located close enough to walk to Lake George regional Park in Skowhegan Maine. Things to do near by - hiking and biking trails, swimming, fishing , kayaking, boating. Fire pits at each site. Close to atv trails. We are located about 7 miles from the town of Skowhegan and about 1 mile from Canaan. There are a couple of convenient stores in Canaan where are you can get just about anything that you might’ve forgot to bring and a Dunkin Donuts for your caffeine fix! Each site as room for 1 vehicle with additional parking available in the lower parking lot. The bathhouse is currently under construction. The shower works but for now, a portable toilet is provided. Guests are welcome to use the bbq grills, tables and play the games under the pavilion. Dogs are permitted, but there is an additional $25 fee per/night. All dogs must be on a leash at all times. No aggressive dogs are allowed. Your pet must be vaccinated. If your pets are disruptive, you may be asked to leave.
