Welcome to The Nordic Nook! Unwind at this unique Scandanavian-inspired 1920's cottage. Just a short walk away is Wilton's beautiful Wilson Lake with mountain views, Kineowatha Park with a small beach, and Wilton's quaint Main St. area. Farmington is just a 10 minute drive away, where there are even more fun things to do and places to shop. Located within an hour's drive are 3 major ski areas - Sunday River, Sugarloaf, and Saddleback! There are ATV & snowmobile trails right nearby as well! The Nordic Nook is a 1,200 sq ft home nestled in a friendly neighborhood in the western foothills of Wilton ME, that comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests. You'll be in walking distance to all that the town has to offer. The home is over 100 years old, and although many renovations have been done over the years, much of the original historic charm remains. We hope you enjoy the colorful, Scandanavian-inspired decor throughout the home. You'll have access to the whole house and basement with laundry. We will be readily available to answer any questions and help in anyway via Airbnb messaging. In addition, because we live quite a distance away, we have a property manager, local to Wilton, whose phone number will be available should you need additional assistance. The Nordic Nook is located in a somewhat densely populated, friendly neighborhood, close to the lake, park, and main street area. Getting around the neighborhood can be done easily by either driving, walking, or bike riding. Parking is easy as we have a paved driveway that can fit up to three vehicles on it. One bedroom is on the first floor, next to the only bathroom in the house. The other three bedrooms are upstairs. The staircase going up is kind of steep, since it is an old home. Just a heads up in case someone has trouble on stairs. Also, the wood stove can be used at your own risk (firewood provided!). It doesn't have a fireplace guard/screen, so we advise against using it if you are bringing small children.
