They're easy to use once you know a few key tips: Basic Operation ON/OFF - Powers the unit on or off MODE - Cycles between settings: Snowflake = Cool Sun = Heat FAN = Auto heat/cool - Adjusts fan speed Up/Down Arrows - Adjust the temperature TURBO - Speeds up cooling or heating LIGHT (this shows the temperature numbers on the unit), if it's to much at light and bothers you just hit the LIGHT button and it'll turn off. ! All units must be set to the same mode to work properly, all four units must be set to the same setting (Cool or Heat Only).
