This lovingly restored barn-turned one-bedroom guest house is stylish, tranquil, and overlooks the San Marcos preserve and foothills. With gorgeous mountain and ocean views, a sunlit living space and lush gardens, this is a unique opportunity. Seemingly secluded, The Barn is within 15 min of down​town​​ restaurants and shops, groceries, a supercharging station, harbor activities, beaches, hiking, and just 30 min from dozens of Santa Ynez wineries.​ The space The Barn is nestled on the southeast end of the property, capturing the morning and afternoon light. The front door opens into the foyer where your eyes are immediately drawn outside to the expanse of the San Antonio Creek Canyon, foothills and beyond. The open format kitchen, dining and living room are situated to look out into the open space. There are granite counters, and a beautiful, custom granite sink in the small, and well-appointed kitchen. There is an induction cooktop, a countertop oven, microwave, mini fridge, separate wine fridge, and stand-alone freezer. The living room has two sets of tall, sliding doors that open onto The Barn's wrap around porch. In the living room, there is a new pull-out queen width sofa bed, and apple TV. The bathroom, with slate tile floors and shower is to the right of the foyer, and continues into the bedroom, with a new queen size bed, sky light, large closet, door to the side porch and a peak of the canyon. The interior space is 830 sq ft. Note, it is not currently accessible for wheel chairs. There is dedicated parking, and a maintained garden surrounding The Barn with multiple seating areas, outside dining and grill, amidst the lush landscape. Guest access In addition to The Barn's side yard and outside patio with dining area, we invite you to explore the boulder field part of the property, which is shared with the main house. It overlooks the canyon, has several nice areas for sitting, rolling out a yoga mat, or just feeling a part of this wild preserve. Other things to note Work out equipment is available upon request. A note for rentals during the business week: The upstairs unit of The Barn serves as our home office, which we may use during normal business hours. The office entrance is separate and the sound does not carry. The guest house is very private!
