Squirrel Field Glamping

Our bell tent with super-king bed & luxurious bedding is perfectly located amidst wonderful countryside. There are many activities, places to see & events locally. Walks are directly from the tent. The local pub, serving home made food & local ales, is a 3-minute walk away. We provide a separate kitchen with induction hob, fridge/freezer, Lavazza coffee machine, BBQ, microwave, kettle & toaster. All on your own private area of land for you to use exclusively. Dogs welcome (for a small fee). The space Our spacious 5m bell tent is kitted out with comfort in mind. We provide a comfortable super-king size Simba mattress with a cloud topper, on a futon base. Luxury ‘Piglet in Bed’ linen, a lovely warm ‘Earthkind’ duvet and four pillows. There are also extra quilts and an electric blanket should you feel cold. If you would like to bring your furry friend along, there is an additional charge of £20 for the duration of your stay. There is a summer house with armchairs to relax in, books and games for you to use. The kitchen area is in another wooden outbuilding and for your sole use. This had been revamped for the 2026 season with comfort and style in mind. We provide a fridge with small freezer, double induction hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, and Lavazza coffee machine. All pots and pans, crockery and cutlery are provided. There is also a sink with running / drinkable water for you to wash up and and wash your face/ brush teeth etc. For this season we are also excited to introduce a more luxurious showering experience by investing in an outdoor instant water heater/shower. There are beech fence panels and shower curtains for privacy. But the dappled light from the leaves and the sound of birdsong make it quite a magical experience and you feel firmly in touch with nature. We provide towels, and can provide robes and sliders if required. A converted arbour houses the fully flushing/plumbed toilet. There are two wooden recliners in the field, as well as a 2-seater outside sofa. A designated fire pit with a bench to sit at is also available to use at night. We can provide a bundle of logs and firelighters at extra cost. There are numerous Solar lights both inside the tent and dotted around the garden, creating a peaceful and magical ambiance. We also have more powerful rechargeable lamps in the tent and kitchen. The kitchen also has a standard lamp connected to mains electricity. The WiFi repeater is in the kitchen, providing you with free WiFi. A Weber Smokey Joe BBQ is available to use and kept by the kitchen. Bicycles are available to use freely upon request, we have a variety of sizes! Guest access The tent and the field is for your sole use. Should you have a vehicle, you will have your own (signposted) parking space in a driveway shared with us. The kitchenette, toilet, solar shower and all equipment is also for your own use during your stay. Other things to note We are near to many venues that host gigs, concerts, festivals and events. Of note are Westonbirt Arboretum, Badminton House, Malmesbury for Shindig festival. Badminton House itself is a short distance away and you are very welcome to use our bikes to go there and back. We couldn’t be more ideally located for the Badminton Horse Trials. There are also many notorious local pubs that provide good food, drink and atmosphere. The Holford in Didmarton, Rattlebone in Sherston and The Old Royal ship in our village is only a three minute walk. Villages and towns of note in the area are Castle Combe, Bath, Bradford on Avon, Bristol, Malmesbury, Tetbury, Cirencester and many more. There are a wealth of activities and places to visit in the area, and Squirrel Field Camping provides a perfect base from which to explore.
