Description
Lovely 2 bedroom, main floor artists home in the heart of Halifax. Full of art and character, this century home is filled with modern amenities, comfortable beds, and a fully equipped kitchen. The house is within easy walking distance to universities, hospitals, the Public Gardens and all that downtown has to offer, including being only a 25-minute walk to the waterfront. The unit has a private deck and parking. The space This private home is perfect for friends, solo travellers, couples, self directed artist retreats and families. This space is welcoming, comfortable, centrally located, and filled with natural light. This home is well equipped for short or longer stays. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of counter and cupboard space, oven, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher, as well as basics like salt and pepper, olive oil etc. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed. The kitchen area has a dining table. The bathroom has a combination shower/bathtub. There is a private laundry room in the basement. It is only intended for use by registered guests. Guest access • You have access to the backyard and a private deck that is yours alone. • There is one parking spot reserved for you behind the house. • I provide fresh linens and towels. • The house has High-speed internet and TV with a Firestick for accessing your streaming services. Other things to note This is my home, using the studio you are staying in as my photography studio/gallery when it is not rented. The art in the studio is all original, and the furnishings and amenities are mine rather than being purchased for a rental unit. This home isn’t intended for or suited for parties or large gatherings, and respectfully, isn’t available as a student rental. Families are welcome, but I don't have highchairs, cribs, travel beds, bed rails, plastic dishes, etc. The furniture and art in the space are primarily intended for adults rather than for the more rambunctious variety of children. This is a central Halifax residential neighbourhood. The house is on a main street, and there is some street noise at the front of the house. It is primarily daytime traffic noise, and diminishes at night. The bedrooms are located at the back of the house and are remarkably quiet, and the street noise is more than made up for by the beautiful cemetery across the street. There is no cable.
