Peaceful studio, easy access: Harwell/Milton Park

Description

Peaceful garden views offer the perfect home from home for those visiting the area, or staying for work. Close to Harwell Campus, Milton Park and the Diamond Light Source. 2 miles from the historic market town of Abingdon-on-Thames, with easy access to Oxford & Didcot Parkway rail station; 45mins to London. Free Wi-Fi and private off-street parking make staying here an easy choice. The space Situated to the side of our family home in the picturesque village of Drayton, the studio has a private entrance with self-check in. A cosy bedroom space offers a comfortable double bed, desk and workspace for your laptop and a smart TV. The room has clothes hanging space and comfortable sofa to sit and relax. A tree-filled garden view with roses in the summer and ample bird-song will help you feel right at home. Our ensuite shower room is compact, with hand basin, loo and heated towel rail to cover your needs. You have a well-equipped kitchen for your exclusive use with double oven & grill, ceramic hob, microwave and toaster. Alongside the pod coffee machine, kettle, fridge, freezer and also a washer/dryer. Tea & coffee is provided. A kitchen table and chairs offers dining space, or an alternative workspace. Location We often welcome guests who are contracted to work locally, as our location lends itself well to accessing: Milton Park - 2.5 miles Harwell Science Campus - 5 miles Diamond Light Source - 6 miles Oxford - 10 miles The Village Drayton itself offers a popular village pub. The Red Lion offers Sky sport, darts & a pool table, and will welcome you with open arms. The very popular Drayton Dosa Spice provide a great place for a curry and a pint. Two convenience stores are there for those little top-ups; milk, bread and wine. And our traditional hardware store, Vickery's, has just celebrated it's 50th year in Drayton! Well worth a visit for the shear array of DIY essentials, cookware and gardening must-haves. St Peter’s Church is a grade II listed building with parts dating back to the 13th century. We have a great regular local bus that stops a minutes walk from our place which will take you to Abingdon-on-Thames and Oxford from our side of the main Abingdon Road, or Didcot (including Didcot Parkway, 45 minutes into Paddington) on the other. Guest access The ground-floor studio is self-contained comprising of double bedroom, ensuite shower room and fully equipped kitchen. There is a dedicated outside seating area to the front of the property, should the weather lend itself to morning coffee or a sun-downer. Other things to note I like to use eco-friendly products where possible, and you'll find the cleaning products used and available in the studio are vegan, cruelty-free, biodegradable, plant-based formulas. I refill the product containers, therefore cutting down considerably on single-use plastic waste. If you are booking to stay for an extended period, we will come in and do a quick refresh of the property after two weeks. We'll change the bed linen and towels, and whizz the vacuum cleaner round. We will endeavour to leave your personal items undisturbed as much as possible.
