'The Hide' at Berwynfa.

Relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings. Enjoy the many birds, flowers and trees in our garden, and take long walks in the surrounding Welsh countryside, all nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near to the river Dee. Enjoy a relaxing soak in our hot tub whilst taking in the views over the Berwyn Hills and Dee Valley, or take a stroll across the world famous Thomas Telford aqueduct, just a 5 minute walk away! You'll be spoilt for choice for places to eat out locally too! The space Our property, called 'Berwynfa', is a 1901, double fronted, detached, red brick Victorian house set in about a third of an acre of land, with garden areas of different descriptions on about 6 different levels. There are lots of flowers and trees, and paths to help you explore the garden. Your guest suite is an extension to the main part of the house with it's own separate entrance porch. You can access our property from the front or back of the house but we usually use and ask guests to use the back gate as it's nearest our access lane and driveway. You'll more than likely be greeted by our Golden Retriever, Mabel and Tabby cat, Treacle. Welcome to Berwynfa! :) Guest access You'll be able to access your own private porch, bedroom and en-suite bathroom, with rain head shower and complementary shower gel. You'll also have access to the garden spaces, with dining areas, a swing seat and a private hot tub area up on the top deck with incredible views over the dee valley. You'll also have access to a parking space on our gravel driveway if you choose to, (the lane is tight but we get a pick up down it), or free on street parking just a 30 second walk up the lane from the property, whatever you choose to do. Other things to note Your stay includes a continental breakfast each morning for 2 people, of croissants, butter, a selection of jams and 2 porridge pots. Your stay also includes tea, coffee, herbal teas, hot chocolate or horlicks sachets, a pint of fresh milk and 2 small cartons of orange juice. A small Tesco supermarket that has everything you need including a small range of clothing is just up the hill for any additional milk or juice etc. Breakfast trays for use in bed or to take outside. Crockery, cutlery, glassware, plastic glasses for use in the hot tub and a bottle opener are all provided. Washing up bowl, washing liquid, a sponge and tea towel are provided. Guests will have use of waffle dressing gowns during their stay and particularly for accessing the hot tub area. They are on the back of your bedroom door. Please bring your own sliders/flip flops etc. It is a short, well lit walk up to the hot tub. I will show you where it is and how to operate it etc. Smoking outside only.
