This peaceful hideaway, part of a converted 18th-century hop farm, features an open-plan living space, a private patio, and modern country style. Enjoy a serene retreat in a quiet courtyard setting, perfect for a couple’s getaway. Guests also have access to a lovely shared garden area. The space Discover the charm of Hop Store, a single-storey cottage which was originally used to store freshly harvested hops from the farm before they were dried in the adjacent kiln or oast house. Hop Store is furnished in a modern country style, blending original features with comfort, and complemented by local art work. The open plan living area is the heart of cottage, featuring: - a well-equipped kitchen for all your culinary needs - a cosy seating area with gas-fired ‘log burner’ stove for relaxing evenings The adjoining bedroom offers a comfy cast-iron bed, and leads to a beautiful refurbished bathroom with modern walk-in shower. Step outside from the cottage into your own private courtyard, an ideal spot to unwind in the warmer weather. Please note that pets other than dogs are not allowed in Hop Store. We accept a maximum of two small to medium sized dogs, as long as they are house trained and under control at all times. Your patio has a sliding gate, so canine guests can potter freely in your outdoor space. Guest access In warmer weather, as well as your private patio, you can make use of the pretty cottage garden (shared with other guests). Relax in hammock chairs or the outdoor seating. On summer evenings, take in the scent of lavender, jasmine and honeysuckle or light the firepit and, on a clear night, enjoy the starry skies. For stargazing enthusiasts, head over to our new stargazing deck, where you will find a telescope and binoculars for your use
