Adorable riverfront tiny home in NE Kansas. Sounds of nature and fishing right off the banks of the Missouri River. Lots of sand and outdoor room, queen bed in loft, plus small futon on main floor, no wifi. Nearby camping spots can be rented on the Hipcamp app (Wathena Riverfront Campground). Bathroom with shower, on demand propane hot water heater (usually works lol). Full size fridge, stove, kitchen sink and microwave. Tiny home sits on 10 acres that is waterfront to the main channel/current of the Missouri River. It is adjacent to a private campground (Wathena Riverfront campground ) . Extra tent or RV spots can be rented through Hip Camp. Outdoors with small patio with chairs, fire pit near the river. Terrain is mostly flat with some grass and sandy areas. Elevated gathering deck that is a common area for all guests on the property. You may fish and have shore fires at your own risk on the banks of the Missouri River. Bring your own fishing gear. Registered guest only on the property. The property is riverfront at the old steamboat landing for the now ghost town of Palermo, KS. It is about 2.5 miles from the nearest town (Wathena, KS) which has Star 36 restaurant (serves 3 meals a day), Dairy Barn (ice cream and some food options), a Casey’s (sells wood, pizza, food and gas) and a Dollar General. It is also about 9 miles from downtown St. Joseph, MO (population 70k). Parking is present on the property right beside the tiny home. Stay on the gravel (out of the sand as it can be easy to get stuck). Flat river road that connects through town allowing bike riders to ride 10 miles without hills. Registered guest only on the property. It is adjacent to Wathena Riverfront Campground, a small private campground. We have a 50 amp RV site with water up near the Airbnb.
