The Pond Dome

Our dome is located on the edge of a small private pond in the heart of the Gâtin countryside, very close to our small organic vegetable farm. The place is quiet and peaceful. Lovers of this type of habitat, we want to introduce you to life in this atypical little house of wood and fabrics, which we built. Respectful of the environment, our dome is autonomous in electricity via a solar panel. There is no Wi-Fi, no TV, no hair dryer! Catch-and-release fishing allowed The space We invite you to stay in a soothing and quiet place, by our small private pond. Here is the geodesic dome that we built, it consists of a wooden frame, is insulated with ecological materials and canvas. You will have a beautiful cocoon space of 27 m2 for yourself. To rest, a 140 cm wide bed that will be made upon arrival. You will also have a small living room, a dresser, a large round table and 4 chairs, as well as a dishwashing and "breakfast" area, with a coffee maker, teapot and of course tea and coffee at your disposal. Outside in a small wooden hut there is a dry toilet and hot shower for the sanitary part and a small summer kitchen area with gas stove and sink. To eat or have your meals outdoors we also provide a table and 4 chairs and to relax as it should 2 sun loungers. Are there more than 2 of you? We accept that you set up a tent next door, there is room! As an organic vegetable grower, we can offer you baskets of fruits and vegetables, apple and pear juice, cider from our farm and if you wish to discover the farm during a short visit. Guest access When you arrive at the pond, a large grassy area immediately to your right is provided for you to park your vehicle(s). You will then only have a few meters to walk under the large fir trees to reach the dome. The pond area and sanitary hut/kitchen is all yours. You are in your cocoon. Enjoy!
