Sleeping with the sheep & a whole herd of horses.

Waking up with a view of the dining room, a herd of horses living in freedom, two pigs making their beds in front of the window every evening, and sometimes a sheep walking by... Closer to the pure things in life. That's why there's no Wi-Fi and no TV. There is, however, a large table for playing games together and a lovely couch for enjoying a glass of wine together. Make beautiful memories together! And even better, the first lambs will be born at the beginning of October! The space Dear guests, please read the following carefully. (New! Starting October 16, the horses or sheep will sleep in the stable next to you on Fridays and Saturdays. You can then relax with them throughout your entire stay. On the other days, this experience can be booked as an option.): The apartment is located in an old stable at the back of the farm, surrounded by the animals. Chickens, rabbits, pigs, sheep and a whole herd of horses living in freedom are your friendly neighbours. The stable is actually one large room with a separate beautiful bathroom that makes you forget for a moment that you're sleeping in a stable! A "bedroom" has been created by means of a medium-height wooden fence with doors. There is a spacious double bed here. If you come with more than two people, the lovely lounge corner can be transformed into a slightly smaller double bed (1.60 wide) and the sofa can be unfolded into a comfortable double bed. This way, it is also possible for 6 people to come and make beautiful memories. In the open kitchen, there is a coffee maker and a kettle. There is also a combination microwave, a large 1-burner stove and a fridge with a small freezer compartment. This way, you can make a delicious wok meal, a large pot of soup, or, for example, have a cozy evening of cheese fondue. There is no private garden like at our tiny house, but there is the option of sitting outside on the small terrace right by the entrance that belongs to the stable. In the morning, when the weather is nice and the farm animals are waking up, it's truly the ultimate pleasure to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea here with the rising sun. Would you still like to spend an evening enjoying a spacious, covered terrace among the horses? Then it is possible (if available) to optionally book "The Little Horse Garden" for an evening. The animals in freedom: All animals live in freedom as much as possible, with no cages for the rabbits and no stalls for the horses! That's what I stand for and what I want for all animals. They play together, cuddle together and sometimes fight. All very pure and natural behaviour, and you can also experience some of that at night. There is also a lot of care involved in looking after the animals, and that also happens around the stable, and I sometimes cuddle with the animals myself = ). So if you're looking for somewhere quiet with fewer animals and where you can lie topless in the garden in private, you'd be better off booking our other small cottage ; ). From the barn, you have a view of the feeding area for the entire herd of horses, where they come and go as they please. Julius and Bommel also live in "the dining room" and every evening they make their nest in front of the window where they prefer to sleep. The sheep come to seek shade or shelter from the rain from time to time, which always depends on the weather conditions and where they feel most comfortable. It's the experience of sleeping close to and overlooking the animals in the wild that makes it so special. A little bit back to basics, without Wi-Fi but with the luxury of a lovely bathroom ; )! Want to enjoy the hustle and bustle? By car, you can be in lively Sneek in 5 minutes. Shops, terraces and a pleasant bustle. In the summer months, you can reach the Sneekermeer in 5 minutes by car. A nice beach, water ski course, aqua park and where you can also enjoy good food and drinks. Of course, this can also be done by bike ; ) You can also book me as a taxi with my old Fiat 500 😊. I care for all the animals with love and pleasure, and I earn the costs for their food, the dentist and the veterinarian together with the animals by connecting them with people in a special way.
