.Arboris is a villa rustica in the Khmer style designed and built by expatriates Haijun and Carrie as weekend home.Set in the shrubs of idyllic Mekong island Koh Dach, northern Phnom Penh, the villa is two storeys high, the first floor of modern concrete work and the second of hard wood. Traditional Khmer wood architecture was studied and master carpenters were consulted to enable the making of the upper floor which is purely structured of reclaimed wood retrieved from older houses.
