Charming cottage on the Mondego riverbank in the heart of Central Portugal. Quinta da Lontra is a pet-friendly, off-grid farmstay nestled in a beautiful wooded river valley, offering the perfect escape into nature. The river with our private beaches and meadow is just a few steps away, where you can swim, kayak or relax in a hammock under the shade of a tree. There are many activities and places of interest in the region to explore and enjoy. Perfect getaway for couples or families. The space The house is light & airy, with large windows providing beautiful views of the river. COZY LIVING ROOM is furnished with a sofa and armchairs, creating a comfortable space to unwind and take in the view. The dual aspect open-plan kitchen /dining /living space leads to a private outside seating area. 2 COMFORTABLE BEDROOMS - bedroom 1 with a double bed overlooking the river & bedroom 2 has 2 single beds with a garden view . Enjoy a quiet and peaceful good night sleep. The beds are made with white 100% cotton linen. In addition, you will find a a dresser in each room and a wardrobe or a hanger to make you feel right at home. The KITCHEN is fully equipped to prepare meals for you and your loved ones. You will find: • Makineta/ stovetop moka pot and kettle • Espresso coffee cups and mugs • Wine glasses and bottle opener • Pots, pans and cooking utensils • Tableware, serving utensils and cutlery • Gas cooker (4 hobs) • Fridge/ freezer • Cleaning essentials • Basic essentials kit: Coffee, tea, olive oil, sugar, salt & pepper CLEAN BATHROOM AND SHOWER with towels and basic essentials kit (soap, shampoo and toilet paper). PRIVATE TERRACE overlooking the river meadow, where you can enjoy your meal or drink outdoors any time of the day as the sun-umbrella provides the perfect shade. Guest access The entire cottage will be exclusively yours during your stay. The beaches and river are shared among other guests staying on the property. You are welcome to explore the shared areas of the property, but kindly note that there are some private areas that are inaccessible. We kindly ask that you respect the privacy of your hosts and fellow guests during your stay. Other things to note Guests can enjoy private river beaches and a range of outdoor activities including kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, and fishing. Wellness services such as massage, acupunture or sound bath, are also available, ensuring a rejuvenating stay (Please check availability in advance). We love animals and have 2 delightful and playful dogs, a girl Akila and a boy Ziggy, which like to make new friends. :) We welcome well-behaved pets and kindly request that you inform us beforehand if you plan to bring your furry friend along for the stay.
