(Weekly/Monthly Discounts offered) Your Home away from home! Stay in the Blue room, and get full access to the family room, bathroom, and kitchen. Private room with a full bed, closet, dresser, lamps, smart tv, desk/chair. Fast wifi throughout the house. Parking on street or driveway. Excellent location with restaurants, stores, parks, biking/running/kayaking! Laundry in basement. *Home is shared - me/son/dog/two other guests in other rooms. *No Pets - I am exempt *No kids *1 guest per room The space Single story ranch brick home with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and located in a quiet neighborhood. The home is a shared space for all guests and those living in the home. I encourage every guest to enjoy the house and to feel like they are home away from home! Feel free to hang out in the family room, watch tv, sit at the kitchen table and enjoy your meal, and even spread out and work in the family room. Make yourself at home while you are here! Guests do not have to be confined to their rooms, as I really want you to enjoy your stay with us! Parking is shared by everyone in the home on the driveway or on the street in front of the house. There are three AirBnB Rooms available in my house so the house is shared. I have set up my home for guest use with dedicated guest spaces in the main bathroom and the kitchen. At times there can be as many as 4 people staying in the house utilizing all the rooms and driveway space. There is also a big friendly dog living here. The main bathroom is reserved only for guest use and is shared by all guests staying here. A room in my home is your own private space, just for you. On the first floor of the house is the main living area, kitchen table for eating and gathering, the kitchen, three bedrooms, a linen closet reserved only for guests, and a bathroom that is reserved and used only by guests. (Once again, it is important to note that this bathroom is shared between guests, but there is dedicated cabinet space for each guest and the shower has plenty of nooks for your bathroom items). I supply my guests with bedding and towels and I take care of the cleaning of the towels. In the kitchen, there are dedicated cabinets for guest use and storage of your food items. There is a dedicated guest fridge that is also cleaned between every new guest that comes to stay, but this is also a shared refrigerator, so it will have food items in it that belong only to the guests staying here. The kitchen also has a cabinet with silverware and dishes that are only for guest use, and lots of appliances and cooking ware that everyone can use. I do not expect my guests to have to do their own dishes and I take care of loading and running the dishwasher. I only ask that guests clean up after themselves in the kitchen and place their plates and silverware and cooking ware in the sink. I will take care of the rest! The basement is the living quarters of the home owner and is partitioned off and unavailable for guest use, except for the laundry room, which guests can use upon request to the host. Milford is a family friendly old historic town that is centrally located 35 minutes northwest of Detroit and 35 minutes North East of Ann Arbor. We are also only 35 minutes away from the Airport. Milford has everything you need with two grocery stores, a Planet Fitness, restaurants and bars, parks and outdoor adventure trails and kayaking and fishing. Milford hosts numerous events throughout the year and the community is very friendly and family oriented. We are also very close to the Kensington Metro park, which is a beautiful public park with lots of natural wildlife, petting zoo, family water-park, a lake for boating and fishing, beaches to hang out, bike trails, and running trails. *Small Downtown restaurants, bars, shopping, and grocery stores within walking distance. *Located 35 minutes from Ann Arbor *Located 35 minutes from Detroit *Located 35 minutes from Pontiac *45 minutes from Detroit Metro Airport *Kensington Metro Park is close by for outdoor enthusiasts *Same day check-in instant bookings will not be refunded. *Sometimes other guests may be here based on bookings. Cleaning: Since my home is set up for guest use and I live here at the property, I am constantly cleaning the house every week. Cleaning routine includes vacuuming the house, cleaning the guest bathroom mirrors, bathroom sink, bathroom floors, bathroom toilet, and shower. I do my best to keep the bathroom clean, but since it is shared by guests and I do not use it at all, if you have an issue with the bathroom cleanliness at point in your stay, please let me know and I will take care of it immediately! The bathroom tile and grout gets hard water stains due to our water, and it is cleaned daily! I also regularly clean the kitchen countertops, appliances, and floors. Again this space is shared by everyone, so let me know if you have any issues with the cleanliness. I try my best to keep the house as clean as possible, so please be vocal about any issues you have while you are here! My son and I have a dog, so he lives in the house, but he is super friendly and loving. I do not allow anyone traveling with Pets or service animals to book my home. I am exempt through AirBnB. Guest access Guests will be given a code to the front door to come and go as you please and the front door should be locked every time someone leaves the home. Guests will have access to the main floor, the common areas such as the living room, kitchen, and main floor bathroom. Since the house is shared the common spaces can be used by everyone. No need to wait on us to get you in. Basement is private and restricted, except for laundry room use only. Guests are more than welcome to use the driveway and park in front of the house on the street. We also have a backyard patio that is open and available during warmer months. During your stay Since the home is shared, I plan on socializing with my guests, but I am also very respectful of others privacy. If you stay here for a week or longer, we will bump into each other in the common shared areas of the house, and all guests are welcome and encouraged to use the house while they are here. My home is your home when you stay here. We have our own common area in the lower level of the house that we can use for entertainment and provide our guests with more privacy upstairs as well if necessary, but the kitchen and family room will always be accessible to everyone in the home. There are three rooms available in my home for AirBnB guests, so at times there may also be up to one other Airbnb guest staying here when you are staying here, so everyone is welcome to use and share the house. I want you to be comfortable here in the house and treat the house like it is your own home away from home! *The main bathroom is reserved ONLY for guest use. Sometimes you have it all to yourself, other times it will be shared by you and another guest. I do my best to keep it clean every day, but since I do not use it, please let me know if you have any issues with the bathroom and I will take care of it. I clean it daily! Other Airbnb guests will be in the home, but only guests have the right to use the main bathroom. We ask that all guests try to pick up after themselves as much as possible since there are multiple guests living here at a time. The house has hard water and the tile grout gets stained. The bathroom is not dirty, but the tile grout gets discolored and rusty looking sometimes. I have to bleach it daily. If this is a problem for you, please aware of this, and if you decide to stay here, please let me know if you have any issues with the bathroom and I will take care of it. Too many people like to comment about the bathroom not being clean, when it is a hard water problem, or if other guests make a mess. *Kitchen is used by everyone in the house, and I expect that guests will wash and put their used dishes, silverware, and cooking items in the sink. I will load them into the dishwasher, and you do not have to worry about that! The guest refrigerator is dedicated ONLY to guest use. Sometimes you have it all to yourself, other times it will be shared with another guest. Fridge is cleaned weekly, but if there are issues with any food items in the fridge, let me know! *Laundry is available in the basement, but is only available to guests staying longer than 3 nights. Use of the basement is restricted except for the laundry room. Other things to note * Due to some recent inaccurate reviews by guests, I need to be very upfront here. My home was built in the 1940s. It is not a huge house. It is a very comfortable, lived-in home and it has a lot of guests and travelers staying here. The home has been updated and can accommodate all your needs as a traveler. The rooms are clean, the home is clean, the home has passed city building and ordinance inspections, and it is still my home that I live in. All photos are updated and accurate, you can see in my listing exactly what you are getting when you book here. The atmosphere of my home is that my home is your home. I love having guests stay here who understand the nature of AirBnB and like to travel and meet new people and understand that someone has opened their home for them so they can enjoy a home away from away when they are traveling. I actively live here, so this is also my home. If you are the type of traveler who needs to be catered to, prefers high-end homes, the highest quality building standards, or needs high-end accommodations, or are generally high-maintenance - do not stay here. I own rental properties, commercial properties, and I understand how to service guests, but remember that this is someone's home they are offering to travelers to give them a comfortable experience and I am not interested in hosting guests who want to be critical of my home, its layout, how it was built, how I live here, or how the other guests enjoy the space (read the reviews where people mark me down in value because they do not like my tile or the size of the bathroom sink even though they had a pleasant comfortable stay and had everything they needed on their trip. I think it is ridiculous.) *There are three rooms available in my home for AirBnB guests, so at times there may also be up to one other Airbnb guest staying here when you are staying here, so everyone is welcome to use and share the house. I want you to be comfortable here in the house and treat the house like it is your own home away from home! *The main bathroom is reserved ONLY for guest use. Sometimes you have it all to yourself, other times it will be shared by you and another guest. I do my best to keep it clean every week, but since I do not use it, please let me know if you have any issues with the bathroom and I will take care of it. *Kitchen is used by everyone in the house, and I expect that guests will wash and put their used dishes, silverware, and cooking items in the sink. *Instant booking is turned on for this listing, but if you have any doubts, concerns, or questions about my place, please message me first so we can discuss prior to your booking. *Please do not store food or kitchen items in the rooms. There are dedicated guest pantries in the kitchen and a dedicated guest fridge, so there is no reason to store food items in the rooms. *I want all my guests to be happy and comfortable with their rooms. I purchase nice bedding, nice comforters, and nice blankets and pillows. Please be respectful of the bedding, blankets and pillows and do not stain them or get them dirty, or eat any food/drink in the rooms. I do not charge a deposit to stay at my house, and I do not charge additional cleaning fees because I expect my guests to treat the bedding, pillows, and furniture like it is their own. Please be respectful of the space and do your best to keep it as you found it when you checked in. *I have bikes and kayaks that can be used upon request! *Same day check-in instant bookings will no longer be refunded. So if you think you want to stay here, reserve the room instantly but decide not to stay here for any reason and need to cancel your reservation, you will NOT receive a refund, so please read all the listing details carefully and map out the location as is necessary for your trip or stay. We will no longer refund guests who want to change to another city or location at the last minute as this has happened in the past. *Checkout time is at 10:00 am, and the room needs to be vacant and all personal belongings removed at that time. *We have a very friendly dog who lives in the property with us. He is very friendly and loving with people and all our guests love him. However I am exempt from hosting anyone with a pet, service animal, or emotional support animal through Airbnb which means I do not offering hosting to travelers with animals. *I do not host young children or infants.
