Welcome to your beautiful, historic guesthouse! Upstairs you'll enjoy a king size bed and bathroom. Downstairs features a kitchen and living room with views onto a private courtyard and garden with seating and dining space. The house is located in the Harleston Village neighborhood of downtown Charleston, within easy walking distance of King Street, The Battery, South of Broad, The College of Charleston, MUSC, and Colonial Lake with its adjoining tennis and pickle ball courts. The space Perfectly located in Harleston Village, a neighborhood known for its grand 19th century houses and villas, this guesthouse is just two blocks from Colonial Lake, a half-mile from The Battery and just across the street from the “Southern Charm” mansion. Guests will be just six blocks from King Street with its numerous shops and restaurants. Park in the private drive and easily access the city on foot from this central and quiet location. This updated, two-story brick guesthouse is situated behind an 1850s single house, within a private walled garden with brick courtyard, mature plantings, fruit trees and a bubbling fountain. Enjoy mornings outside with coffee, or wine in the afternoons – the garden is yours. Once inside, you’ll find a charming and cozy two-story home. Downstairs features a fully-equipped kitchen as well as a living room with a small dining area. Upstairs is a large bedroom suite with a king bed, sitting area and bathroom. The house has wide pine flooring upstairs and original fireplaces in each room. Guest access Guests have dedicated off-street parking in the driveway and access the garden and guesthouse is through a private garden gate. There is a lockbox near the gate which allows for self check-in. Other things to note There is a large teak table in the courtyard with seating and a small bistro table with chairs near the fountain which are all reserved for guests’ use. Bicycle storage is also offered. The owners live in the main house and may on occasion access the garden, but it is otherwise private to the guests. We are an easy 10-minute walk to King Street with access to numerous shops and restaurants including 167 Raw, Basic Kitchen, Harken, Husk, Poogan’s Porch, Queen Street Grocery, The Variety Store, Laurel, Caviar and Bananas, Fast and French, Xiao Xao Biscuit, Millers All Day, and many others!
