One small/medium sized, well behaved dog (under 40 lbs) or a cat are welcome in the Airstream. Pet fee is $30 and due at booking. Please do not leave your fur baby in the camper unattended. 2. The deck can be slippery when it rains so please go very carefully! 3. There will be fresh eggs if the girls are laying! 4. QUIET HOURS: 10pm - 8am. HISTORY ~ The previous owner bought the Airstream from an English boatbuilder and you can see the craftsmanship he lent to the interior - there's even a mirror in the shape of a porthole. We've driven Audrey on trips down to California and back - she's such a lovely way to camp. SLEEPING ~ Twin memory foam beds guarantee a good night's sleep with oversized French linen covered duvets to cuddle up in. The couch in the living area is also lovely for reading and napping. There's a pull out desk that doubles as a table for eating inside on cool evenings and as a desk/workspace if you are writing the next great American novel! #see note for creatives! WASHING The bathroom and shower are frankly Hobbit-sized! However the water only takes about 15 minutes to heat the 6 gallon tank so you can have a quick 'bird bath' shower - it's a camper after all! COOKING The compact kitchenette has a microwave oven and double electric hob. A small vintage-style fridge/freezer. A French press and kettle. Knives, forks, spoons, glasses, mugs, plates, dishes etc Pots and pans. Cutting boards. Coffee & tea. Olive oil and Balsamic vinegar Salt/pepper grinders. Hot sauce Do bring your drinking own water if you prefer, but our well water has been tested. It is super clean, triple-filtered and suitable for drinking. On the deck is a propane gas BBQ. Wood in the box enough for one night. Many gas stations, Safeway and roadside stalls sell camp firewood if you need more. There's a space heater and vintage-stye fan. No AC. DRESSING The weather can unpredictable even as Spring approaches - it may well be wet and chilly so bring Wellies or hiking boots and layers for walking the trails and warm slippers/socks to wear inside. DANCING & READING Listen to your favourite playlist on the Bluetooth speaker while you read, eat, drink wine or coffee and relax away from the city noises and distractions. Sing along to the LPs of Broadway show tunes on the retro record player and browse the small library of Airstreams and camper books. GEOGRAPHY Audrey is the perfect basecamp for visiting The Olympic National Park, whale watching from Port Townsend, attending a wedding in Port Gamble or visiting the lavender fields in Sequim. TINY HOUSE/EXTRA GUESTS: There is a Tiny House AirBnB on Millie's Gulch. She accommodates two adults with a loft for one more. She is also pet-friendly and about 120' from Audrey with a separate, private deck and her own parking. If you are two couples coming to the Peninsula and would like to book together look for "Tiny House in the Forest". You will be in close proximity to hang out but have your own privates spaces. ARTIST'S DISCOUNT ~ Be sure to ask us about our special rates for creatives. If you are looking for a secluded retreat to work on a project we welcome you. Alexandra is a writer/filmmaker and one of the intentions for Audrey is that she's an affordable place to write, paint or make music... EARLY CHECK IN? If you can beat the crowds and the long lines and get an early ferry to the Peninsula let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate you. MESSAGE US ~ For recommendations for info on local hikes, beaches, restaurants, cool antiquing places, or anything you might require ~ We want your vintage glamping getaway to be the best you've ever had. Guest access Follow the signs at the top of the drive to the right (for Audrey the Airstream and the Tiny House) then bear the the left up to the Airstream - you'll see her glistening through the trees. Park on the left. She will be unlocked. Other things to note Audrey has no TV. We planned it that way for those who want to unplug. You will be away from the hustle and bustle and truly feel you are in nature without any outside world temptations. There's a detailed guest book outlining how to get the best from your stay. Please read carefully and be aware that you are 'glamping' in a vintage trailer so instructions for heating water for a shower/washing up and/or not overloading Aud with lots of electricals plugged in is useful. It's also all part of the charm of her and being deep in the forest. Your deck/outside area faces away from the tiny house so if there are guests staying while you are here you will only experience some lights at night through the trees. That rental also allows pets so there may be a pooch or two over there. You might also get a double-pug visit from our naughties - Millie and Willie and a loud bark from our Rhodesian Ridgeback guardian dog, M'Baku, when you arrive or leave down the driveway. He really is 'all bark and no bite' but it can be an alarming greeting if you are not used to big dogs. There’s propane for the BBQ and fire wood enough for the first night. All the gas stations, Safeway and some roadside stalls sell camp firewood if you need more. QUIET HOURS: 10pm - 8am. A NEW BUILD This year we are building on the neighbouring property so you may hear distant power tools or an excavator. We will keep those hours to between 9am and 5pm.
