Welcome to The Cottage / Chalet at the vineyard at the Hounds of Erie Winery. Enjoy the lovely setting of this cozy spot in nature. The Chalet offers guests a four season private glamping experience within a small but comfortable cabin setting. The site includes the following amenities: -Private campfire -Private outdoor hot shower (May to end of Sept) -Propane BBQ -Comfy queen-size bed -Kruig coffee maker -Fan -Shared Porta potty washroom -Solar on-site battery system -TV read on 4 +details The space The Cottage / Chalet is situated on a huge site that has ample space for outdoor activities and parking. The space comes with a private campfire pit with grill and picnic table. There is also a private outdoor hot water shower. The shower is only operational from May until the end of September. There is a deck just outside the cabin that comes with two Muskoka chairs and an umbrella for shade. Space is accessible by car, and is only a 5 mins walk to the winery and event space. The Cottage / Chalet is a glamping experience. Please remember to bring many of your own supplies such as (but not limited to): Bedding (incl pillows), disposable dishware (washing facilities not available), coffee cup(s), spoons, etc. cooler with ice (power supply not made for plug-in coolers), food, water, and things to drink, soap, shampoo, etc, extra kruig pods, flashlights, sunscreen, bug spray, appropriate clothing for weather, towels, face cloth, paper towels, firewood, paper, matches outdoor cookware and cooking supplies, extra batteries, dog bed and dog stuff (if dog is coming) Please note that there is very little to no reception at the chalet. This is an opportunity for you to be disconnected Guest access Guest access is through our property's southern entrance gate. The gate has a sign on it that says cabin at the vineyard. Please proceed to the ring road and follow it until you reach the chalet. Please close the gate when not in use. Parking is available on site. Other things to note Quiet time starts at 11:00pm. No music after this time please. What to bring: With this glamping experience, you will bring all the same items you would normally bring if you are camping, these items include but are not limited to: disposable dishware and cutlery, cups, bedding, towels, flashlights, food and drinks (no potable water onsite), entertainment, firewood, paper, matches, toiletries, extra coffee pods (and water) for kruig coffee maker, etc. Please know there is very little to no cell reception at the Cottage / Chalet. This is an opportunity for you to disconnect there is a 32-in flat screen TV that is included with the chalet. however, the only real way to watch it is to connect a laptop or video player to it it through an HDMI cable. it is not a smart TV so it requires a player to be used. there is an extra HDMI cable available in the chalet. there is firewood for sale on site. please bring cash. while it is not required, we would greatly appreciate it if you could take your garbage away with you. we are happy to handle the recycling.
