Sand Bungalow

Our Buhangin Bungalow is a cozy nook, with its own bathroom, kitchen, dining and living space in Baler, Aurora. Our space is carefully curated. We are solar-backed, have reliable wifi, stylish bathrooms, a fully furnished kitchen and ample parking. The Bungalow is good for 3pax. We can accommodate up to 5pax with additional charge. Located near town center - we're a 2min drive to Sabang, 5mins to the palengke and supermarket, 20mins from Cemento. Come stay! The space The bungalow is a private nook at Sandy | Buhangin. The other side of the property is the Sandy Home. By booking the bungalow - you get a private nook, just for you. We worked to make the rooms extra cozy - from cold aircon, blackout curtains (for nights you want to sleep in), open storage and warm beds. The room comes with a TV monitor and own ref for beverages and food. The bathroom is stylish, has great water pressure and a water heater. Kitchen is fully stocked - with stove, hot water kettle, toaster oven, cooking implements, dishes, utensils and glasses. It's a great place to cook. There's also an outside shower for post-surf / post-swim quick rinses. For the surfers - we have a board rack. Our board for rent is currently in the board shop (huhu) but we can reco surf schools that can rent boards and provide instructors. The living space is open, so it gets a bit hot during the afternoons - best to chill inside the bedroom. Wind also brings dust so the kitchen and kitchen items may get dusty often too, even if we clean before you arrive. We’re working on ways to make it less hot and dusty, but it may take time. Also, please be sure to connect to the correct wifi for stronger signal. Thanks! Please consider this heads-up before your stay. Short-comings have been disclosed and the rate is discounted - no need to be a Karen. :-) Guest access The Bungalow is your private space. But parking, board racks, outdoor shower and walkways are shared with guests of the Sandy Home. Sandy Home guests cannot enter your space unless you welcome them too. Similarly, please respect the privacy of Sandy Home guests. Other things to note We try to live more mindfully - for the environment. Please be mindful with your electricity consumption and kindly help us segregate trash. Waste bins are located near the water pump. Our solar system is a big help in cutting our carbon foot-print. And has been a job-saver during long-brownouts. But certain equipment (like water heaters and aircons) can't be powered during brown-outs. Please follow the brownout rules to make sure there is electricity to go around. Please segregate your trash and throw them in the covered bins. Segregated wastes are recycled and upcycled. Plastics are brought to the MRF (that then shred the plastic and turn them into blocks - cool noh?), while food waste and papers will be composted.
