The space Casa Tortuga is nestled within the expansive and evolving Wild Turtle project, a unique sanctuary dedicated to sustainability and eco-friendly living in the heart of the Moroccan countryside. The farmhouse itself is a cozy retreat, carefully designed to harmonize with its natural surroundings. The main house features two comfortable bedrooms that can accommodate up to six guests, making it ideal for families or small groups. The water of the pool is filtered with plants and free of chemicals however the basin can contain algae on the sides or little amphibians. The terrace is also enclosed by a low fence to ensure that the friendly resident dogs do not disturb you, while a high cane fence around the pool area adds an extra layer of privacy. Guest access Guests have acces to one room or the entire farm house depending on their number , including the natural pool, terrace, and communal areas. Please read before booking: You will have exclusive access to one room or the entire house — no other guests will be staying during your visit. However, the base price is calculated for 2 guests. An extra charge of €50/night per person (+Airbnb fees) applies starting from the 3rd guest. Please make sure to enter the correct number of guests when making your reservation. This helps us prepare the rooms, linens, and cleaning appropriately for your group. We designed this pricing model to make the house more accessible for couples or small groups. A flat full-house rate would be too expensive for just two people. This flexible model also reflects the additional work and costs involved when hosting more guests (extra beds, linens, cleaning, etc.). Feel free to message us if you have any questions or special requests. The house is part of a bigger project called Wild Turtle, where other people live and work. There are other buildings the land where guests and volunteers might also stay. You are welcome to visit the land. You may also encounter our Moroccan worker, Jamal, and our guardian and gardener, Hammid. While we strive to offer you privacy, please note that complete seclusion cannot be guaranteed due to the shared nature of the property. You are welcome to explore the land and gardens, but there may be ongoing activities depending on the time of your stay. The house itself is private to you and your guests, including the kitchen and bathroom. The second room remains closed unless you request it for additional guests. The terrace is surrounded by a low fence to prevent our friendly dogs from disturbing you, and there is a high cane fence around the pool area for added privacy. While the pond area and house are available for your use, we also take a swim in the warm days. During your stay When we are available, we enjoy engaging with guests about the region and the Wild Turtle project, and may occasionally stop by to chat—always with permission first. We're happy to provide recommendations, assist with any needs, and share insights into the eco-retreat and its surroundings. Other things to note The eco-retreat emphasizes sustainable living, and some amenities reflect this commitment, such as the dry toilet, the natural pool and natural water filtration system. These systems are a bit different than modern sanitary systems and thus can very in terms of cleanliness and smell, you will be guided by your host as to have the most pleasant and eco-friendly experience. The water of the pool is filtered with plants and free of chemicals however the basin contains algae on the side and can host little amphibians, most of the time they will be away before you arrive. Casa Tortuga is part of an evolving project, and while we strive to minimize any disruptions, guests may occasionally encounter construction or maintenance activities. The Wild Turtle community values ecological practices and encourages guests to participate in or learn about our various sustainable initiatives during their stay.
