This beautifully renovated house in the popular and walkable Willard Beach was stripped down to the studs for a full-scale renovation with a brand new second floor added. Beautifully designed and completely renovated by a well-known and highly respected designer, the house retains it's original early 1900s bungalow charm, but is updated for today's open-concept and luxurious living. From this house, you can drive to Downtown Portland in 6-7 minutes, walk to Willard Beach in less than 5 minutes (3-4 blocks away!) and also walk to the shops at Willard Square (around 5 minutes), featuring Nationally award-winning Scratch Baking Co, Willard Scoops Ice Cream Shoppe, and Flip Creperie. 4 blocks in the other direction, you will find Scratch Baking's new Toast Bar, where you can sit on the fantastic outdoor patio (or inside) and order breakfast and lunch and coffees from their outstanding coffee bar. Also nearby are the Spring Point Lighthouse, Bug Light park, the SMCC campus, and the ever popular 158 Picket Street Cafe, owned and operated by some of the original owners of Scratch Baking (the parternship split a few years ago) and featuring delicious breakfasts and lunch in a cozy setting, with a charming outdoor patio in back. The new 43* North restaurant and Saltwater Grille, both with huge and gorgeous oceanfront decks, are a short 5-minute drive away. Beautiful Cape Elizabeth is also just a short walk away, with access to even more beautiful beaches, plus Fort Williams and the Portland Headlight, the most photographed lighthouse in the US. Walk to the lighthouse within 30 minutes of the house. The home is very close to downtown Portland and takes approx. 6-7 minutes, depending on traffic, to reach downtown.
