Welcome to the Log Cabin! There's no other house like this in Fresno… Our 600-sqft basement is nestled beneath a century-old home built as a Log Cabin in the middle of the city. In fact, it was once a "speakeasy"! We have now updated it into a spacious PRIVATE STUDIO with brand NEW APPLIANCES and a MODERN BATHROOM for your enjoyment and unique experience. Bedroom lamp for reading at night Your private studio has a new and efficient heater/AC. Your bathroom and kitchenette have granite counters, new appliances and all the essentials. Your private laundry has washer, dryer and abundant closet space. And your high-speed Wi-fi reliably streams HD videos and Zoom meetings on multiple devices! The open concept living space has all the amenities for you to comfortably hang out all night...a large living room/tv area with two cozy sofabeds, two leather lounge chairs and coffee table, and pedestal fan. A huge, beautiful river-rock fireplace centers the space (by the way, no wood fires--we have a new heating/air conditioning unit with remote control for your comfort). The adjacent sleeping area has a Cal-King Nova-Form bed with Early American nightstands and dressers. Two comfy laz-e-boy sofa-beds are available for use. There are extra bed linens, blankets and pillows in the laundry. There is a privacy screen available to separate the sleeping and living room spaces. The California King bed and the two sofa-beds can accommodate 6 guests, but if you have a large family or group looking mostly for a good night's sleep on your way, feel free to bring futons or sleeping bags to sleep four more in the living room for a snug sleepover! The separate dining area is cozy and romantic and can double as a workspace. There is a large polish mahogany desk available for office use. Several power strips strategically located are available for your devices. The kitchenette has a full size refrigerator/freezer with icecube containers, large Microwave, a Cuisinart Convection Toaster/Oven/Broiler-Griller-Fryer, a Keurig coffee machine, Brita water pitcher with filter, and an electric hot water kettle. It is stocked with all the essentials--plates, cups, silverware, towels, glasses, wine glasses and a wine opener. The bathroom has a huge beautifully tiled shower and sink area with a head and hose attachment. The Smart TV will allow you to login to your Netflix and other accounts, and an HDMI cable is there for you to connect your game console! To help you easily find your new home at night, there are two lamp posts in the front yard that even change color! Your neighbors are thoughtful, so street parking right in front of the house is usually available! Your front porch has a nice bench for you to view the front yard, and an extra large trash bin for you to take out your indoor trash! To help you see at night, there is an additional super bright motion-sensing porch light! To unlock the main entrance (smart lock), just follow our check-in instructions located in your Trips itinerary! Please note: because the studio is situated in the basement, there is a pump that activates briefly after use of any of the plumbed facilities. Also, you may hear some walking noise from above. And even if there's excessive rain outside, the studio was thoughtfully designed to prevent flooding. Guest access The entire studio and front yard are accessible to you and your group except the main house and backyard. DISCOUNTS The longer you stay, the deeper the discounts for up to 50% OFF, which apply automatically when you book. If you’re just staying 1 or 2 nights, a 33% cleaning discount is automatically applied. TRAVEL NURSES Fresno Community Hospital is just 3 minutes away! If you’re a travel nurse, security deposit and reviews are optional! Please see our house rules for details. EARLY CHECK-IN If no one stays the night prior to your check-in day, it may be possible for you to check in early at 12pm (noon). The cutoff time to book is 11pm, so please inquire after that time 1 day before (or morning of) your check-in day. THIRD-PARTY BOOKING Airbnb does not permit third-party bookings for family members or friends. Please ask them to create an Airbnb account and verify their identity. It's easy! Other things to note After 9pm, our co-host's phone might be silenced, but feel free to instant book and self check-in anytime after 9pm. Our smart lock can be a bit tricky, so please take a moment to read our check-in instructions located on your Trips page beforehand. SHORT STAYS If your stay is 30 nights or leas, the City of Fresno requires us to collect the Transient Occupancy Tax of 12% LONG STAYS However, if your stay is more than 30 nights, you can be exempted from paying this tax provided you sign the City’s Exemption Form.
