The space IS IT RIGHT FOR US? If you are a couple wanting a place where you can slow down; or a family with one child we are perfect for you. We can also put a cot up if you have a second child who is younger. WHAT CAN WE DO ON SITE? Sit on the balcony, read your book and listen to the river and the birds. In the garden your kids can enjoy: - the huge trampoline - the football pitch - the badminton net - bikes and scooters The river is perfect for a dip in the summer months with a shingle beach giving easy access. Combine this with the trees all around and the river flowing past and you have a recipe for relaxation and a deep recharge. WHAT IS THE COTTAGE LIKE? This beautiful cottage is a converted 16th century mill…you can see the old wheel casement if you look carefully! With a vaulted ceiling, pine floors and bright light from the many windows the space is spacious and calming. The main space is an open plan sitting and dining room, with a small kitchen just off. The main bedroom is cosy and luxurious with an award winning Emma mattress for a deep night’s sleep. The single room is a small bedroom and leads to the modern, smart bright bathroom. It has a curtain rather than a door. PLEASE NOTE that the bathroom can only be accessed via the single bedroom. Also PLEASE NOTE that the mattress on the single bed is not sprung and is only suitable for children and teenagers. The cottage is all on one level. We can provide a cot, toys, bikes and other children-friendly gear! Guest access The whole cottage is yours! I live in the farmhouse behind the cottage but the houses are entirely separate and you will have total privacy and autonomy. The only shared facility is if you need a washing machine as that is in an outhouse which we also use. Other things to note I have 2 primary aged boys who love to roam and play in the grounds, and so you may sometimes hear their voices and laughter! If you have a little one maybe they can play together! Whilst we do have broadband, it is rural broadband which is sufficient for emails and general browsing it isn’t generally fast enough for streaming or gaming or zoom meetings.
