Sun-Drenched Room by the Lake

Our home is the rare Victorian with tons of light (thanks to big windows and tall ceilings), and a big yard. You would never guess it's just steps away from Lake Merritt. It feels as if you're worlds away because it's secluded, but it's also centrally located. We rent three rooms in our home, and those rooms share two baths - a full and a half bath. I live in the house with my sweet dog. The space The space is secluded, yet central. Enjoy original stained glass and hardwood floors with modern touches such as updated lighting fixtures. A queen-sized bed, desk, and smart TV are all yours. You'll have your own private, locking bedroom on the second floor and access to two shared baths - a full bath on your floor and a half bath on the first floor. I live in this space as well (I have my own bathroom), along with my sweet dog. The kitchen is also large and is shared with me and our other guests. It was recently re-modeled and features two separate sink areas, which makes it ideal for preparing multiple meals in the same space. There is a large great room that serves as our community room. It's a great spot to catch up with other guests and friends. The lot is truly magical. It has plenty of space in the backyard, patio, side yard and even in the front yard. I rent out two other rooms (one cheaper, and one more expensive) in the house, as well as all three rooms together. Check out my profile to see these other listings. During your stay I will be available in person through most of your stay. I am in the food and beverage business and I love sharing recommendations. Our current house composition is all women: a women in her mid-30s who works for a non-profit, a woman in her mid-40s who teaches at an international school, and me (a woman, late 40s who runs a brewery). Other things to note **Additional Fees** - Monthly utility fee for gas, electricity and water by splitting the bill among the number of users. The average last year was $82/month. - Monthly cleaning fee to clean the common areas (kitchen, bathrooms, great room, halls, etx) of $60. Guests can opt-in to having their rooms cleaned as well for an additional fee (typically $25-$30). - Off-street parking is available for an additional $250/month. Other Reminders: I live here with my dog and because of that we do not accept other pets, including service animals. The current mix of guests are all women in the 30s and 40s. All professional and respectful.
