Uncle Bob's Place is located in a quiet neighborhood at the Damascus Town Park, within sight of the playground, Beaver Dam Creek, Creeper Trail and the Appalachian Trail. The king-sized bedroom is downstairs along with the living room, dining area, hand crafted bar, full kitchen and bathroom with a walk-in shower. Upstairs are two spacious attic bedrooms with queen beds and views. The large grassy yard includes a shaded area with a gas grill, picnic table, Adirondack chairs, and the sounds of Beaver Dam Creek. ****This old house has some quirks for your consideration***** 1) The kitchen still has the original sloped porch floor. 2) For your awareness, especially during our hottest months (July and August): The house has central heat/AC but only one vent upstairs, at the top of the stairs on the landing between the two bedrooms. With the black out shades closed during the day and bedroom doors open, we estimate the temp to be about 5 degrees warmer than downstairs. The upstairs bedrooms each have two screened windows if you prefer a cross breeze and we also provide a box fan in each bedroom. 3) The upstairs bedrooms have only one outlet each. All bedside lamps have USB-A and USB-C ports and AC outlets for your convenience. 4) The upstairs left bedroom ceiling light is a pull-chain. We have covered the wall-switch to indicate it should not be turned off as it controls the outlet. The entire house and yard is yours to enjoy accessible. by keypad entry. We do not live on the property but are available by phone/text/message for any needs you may have while visiting with us.
