We would like to welcome you to The Boat House, Sonas, Ardentallen, Oban. Our cosy & unique fully equipped one bedroom (Double or Twin Bed option.) chalet with log burning stove on the peaceful shores of Loch Feochan is just 15 minutes south of Oban on the west coast of Scotland. In an area of outstanding natural beauty, Oban, is the unofficial capital of the West Highlands - the "Gateway to the Isles" and "The Seafood Capital of Scotland". The space The Boat House consists of an open plan living/dining & kitchen area with loch views, a bathroom with shower, sink, toilet & heated towel rail & a bedroom with loch views which has a double bed which can be converted into a twin. The open plan area is heated by the wood stove, wood provided. The bedroom & bathroom have underfloor heating which will operate automatically between October & March. If you need them to work outside these months just ask & we will switch them on. Guest access The Boat House is detached, has it own parking & dedicated garden area. Other things to note Water: Our water is from a private source, is properly filtered & is tested by the council annually. On occasions it will look brown due to the peat it filters through on the hill. If you are unsure of drinking this water please feel free to purchase your own spring water. We supply some bottled water for the start of your stay. WiFi - There is a WiFi extender in the Boat House. The signal is not strong so we are currently not listing it as a fully functioning amenity.
