Description

Cobbleken in Cockermouth, Cumbria, sleeps eight guests in four bedrooms. The living areas in this three-storey home consist of a first-floor open-plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, a first-floor sitting room with woodburning stove and TV, a first-floor dining room, a snug with woodburning stove and TV, and a utility with washing machine. The bedrooms consist of a king-size with TV, serviced by a shower room, and on the second floor, two king-size rooms, and a twin, serviced by a bathroom. Outside there is a courtyard with furniture, ad private parking for two cars. One well-behaved dog welcomed, but sorry, no smoking. You'll find a shop, a pub, and River Derwent in 0.1 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Cobbleken is a wonderful base for a family break to Cumbria. Amenities: Gas central heating. Electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher. 4 x TV, WiFi. Fuel, power, and starter pack for woodburning stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Private parking for 2 cars (1 small car in the garage as the opening is 2m wide and 1 off-road). Courtyard with furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop, pub, and River Derwent 0.1 miles Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination. Town: Resting 13 miles from Keswick, the sleepy agricultural market town of Cockermouth is located in the peaceful northwest region of the Lake District. The National Trust currently operates Wordsworth's Georgian family home on the main street, which is a well-liked tourist destination. The town is well-known for being the birthplace of both Fletcher Christian (of Mutiny on the Bounty fame) and William Wordsworth. Cockermouth has a nice selection of stores, bars, and restaurants, but (obviously) the area's major draw is the stunning scenery and fantastic hiking in the northern lakes, including Bassenthwaite Lake, Ennerdale Water, and Derwent Water.
