Quiet Downtown Nook

The Nook is a private front apartment located in Gainesville's historic downtown district, within 1 mile of UF. Just off the Rails to Trails bicycle path and walking distance to a local brewery, grocery stores, cafes, shops, and local restaurants. The space The apartment features hardwood floors, a private entrance, closet space, kitchenette, private bathroom with shower, and a queen bed. The back apartment is owner-occupied. The apartment has nice natural lighting, double-pane windows with privacy curtains, a front stoop, and a hammock available for relaxing in the front yard. The kitchenette includes plates, bowls, silverware, and mugs for 2, 4-cup coffee maker with filters and coffee (no cream or sugar), microwave, toaster, mini fridge, and a selection of teas. A sponge and dish soap is provided for use. The bathroom has a shower (no tub). The foyer includes a selection of books which you are welcome to browse. Guest access Guests have access to the front apartment, which is private and has its own keyless entrance through the front door. The driveway is shared with the back apartment that we live in. Other things to note The apartment has central heat and air, but the thermostat is inaccessible to guests. We live in the back apartment and can adjust the thermostat if requested. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom. We have a small black cat named Io who may say hello if you see her outside in the yard. The apartment is 100% non-smoking. We reserve the right to charge a $200 cleaning fee if this rule is broken. If you do smoke, please do so outside only and dispose of your (fully extinguished) cigarettes in the exterior trash can. This spot is best for short term stays of 1 week or less and may be most comfortable for one adult.
