Description
Welcome to Zen of the Woods! A cozy, thoughtfully designed tiny cabin retreat minutes from Okemo. Set amongst hundreds of acres of forest and farmland, find peace as you enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch overlooking the landscape. Take a walk in the woods out your front door. Enjoy the peace and solitude and unplug, or utilize the fiber optic high speed internet to work remotely in a beautiful setting! 15 minutes to Ludlow, 10 to the quaint villages of Chester and Proctorsville. The space The footprint of the interior of the cabin is 12' deep x 20' wide. It is open concept, but it has its own distinct "zones". Two thirds of the first floor are dedicated to the kitchen/living/dining area (the dining table folds down to almost nothing when not in use, yet folds out to seat 4 when needed). The remaining third has the bunk bed nook and the bathroom. The loft is 8' x 20', and has a king size bed. There is also a small amount of storage space under the eaves for your belongings. Note that we made the deliberate decision to not have a TV, but with the fiber optic high speed internet you can bring your laptop and stream whatever you'd like! Guest access You will have the entire property to yourselves! The property itself is 2.6 acres, and beyond that is hundreds of acres of forest and farmland, so the location is very private and serene. The cabin is on a charming, stone wall-lined gravel road, and there are only two homes past us before the road turns into a trail into the forest, so you will barely see any cars! Our neighbors are all very friendly - give them a wave! Please note that, as in much of Vermont, the property is on a gravel road, and up a hill. AWD/4WD is recommended year-round, and mandatory in winter and early spring.
